Imagine the first people that invent this dish.
They must be crazy at that time. Love to experiment with food.
I mean. Why u froze the broth?
These people back then really crazy indeed. Especially back then(in early of 1900s, they don't have refrigerator. So they eat this cold noodles in the cold winter. Not in the summer like in present era. Even if they have, only few people that have fridge.
Eating cold buckwheat noodle in cold winter. Wow.

The classic pairing is Korean BBQ, specifically kalbi.
The hot & cold combo works really well here. You start to literally drink the cold broth in between bites of caramelized meat.

I tried ordering this somewhere, and didnt expect to be sour. Also didnt expect to taste mostly vinegar. Now Im curious on how it should taste with little amount of vinegar.

Thank you! I discovered naengmyeon a few years ago and I am absolutely obsessed with this dish as well as the spicy one! The spicy one is my favorite! :-)

I just made this using your traditional recipe, Maangchi. It is delicious! So much work but worth every ounce of effort. Thank you so much for sharing

You should have markiplier on your show. He's been trying to get in touch with his korean roots lately and this should be a good experience for him

This is perfect when running about the city on a hot humid noon time day. I enjoyed often in Seoul while sightseeing, etc.
