Today I am cooking at home and making an easy chocolate ganache. This can be used for cakes, cupcakes, and even truffles. This recipe is from my cookbook and one that I use often. I like to heat the heavy cream in the microwave but, you can scald the milk on the stovetop as well.
Ingredients
8 oz (227 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
I used mini chocolate chips, which melt easier
1/2 cup (118 ml) heavy cream (hot)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp (14 g) salted butter
