Sorry but I was taught by my grandmother to make a true chocolate pie every one has there personal way doing things but a true pie is for too pies 1, 2 cup of Hershey powder 2 cups sugar 1 cup all purpose flour or self rising flour 3 1/2 cups milk 1 1/2 table spoon vanilla 5 egg yokes and 1 cup or stick butter as u cook it constantly stay with it as when it starts to boil it thicken up very quickly for set to side after pour in pie crust the meringue beat whites of the five eggs in bowl for 3 min use 3 table spoons of sugar adding 1 table spoon at time ad teaspoon of tarter as it begins to thicken add 1 cup of marshmallow fluff and wip till creams up pour meringue on pies put the pie in oven for 10 to 12 min or till it starts brown fluff prevents the meringue from separating while chilling in fridge that my friends is a 87 year old recipe I like your recipe but this one was handed down from my grandmother born in Kentucky Appalachia mountains

I absolutely LOVE the skin on chocolate pudding. Everyone else gripes about it so I go in and scrap off the top for the babies so they can have their pudding. Don't you feel sorry for me? lol

Here in Oregon we use Hazel it's to make the crust. Ground nuts, butter, a little sugar makes for a heavenly combo with that wonderful chocolate filling. You could also use walnuts.

The way you presented the crust and the filling made me think maybe I could give that a try. It was always so complicated before. Thanks for making pie accessible.
