Today I will show you an easy recipe for a Mexican style hot chocolate drink. The aromatic and fragrant addition of cinnamon and piloncillo makes this flavorful. The viscosity is perfect and my favorite 1. 5 oz package of chocolate Maizena 5 cups of milk 1 cinnamon stick 2 oz piloncillo (or to taste)

Looks delicious, and such a cozy drink for this time of year (it's chilly here in the UK now too)
We love Cadbury's hot chocolate powder or cocoa powder and sugar dissolved in hot milk - our traditional hot chocolate doesn't have that thick texture tho, your Mexican version looks much heartier - almost like a hot milkshake! If we want to get fancy, we might put some squirty cream from an aerosol can on the top, yum!
Now you've got me thinking it will soon be Christmas!
Totally off-topic, but you have beautiful eyes! Thanks Anjelica, much love to you and yours & keep warm! XXX

Yummy! I had hankering for something similar and used crushed Nilla Wafers in my hot chocolate to thicken it up, added cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger to spice it up. So so yummy!

Must show us how you break that sugar. please. I have sucked on large blocks because I just couldn't break it. I know I'm not the only one.

Brings back good memories of one day it was 90+ degrees and my grandmother made us atole. We were all perspiring but it was delicious.

Yuuummm! I love atole so much, my mom always made it when the weather got chilly. And when one of us were sick. So comforting
