Huge thank you to Bekruz and the Ministry of Tourism Uzbekistan for hosting me and my family on this amazing food trip through Uzbekistan. This is the final day and video of this tour. You can watch the entire playlist of videos here: Uzbekistan Day 6: Food and Attractions Tour of Khiva + Unforgettable Family Meal Khiva is another ancient city of Uzbekistan, known for its mud walled city. Its another great city to explore for a combination of the history and food. And the food was different in Khiva than in any other city I had been to so far in Uzbekistan. Islam Khoja Minaret - We started the day in Khiva old town, visiting some of the famous sights, and climbing to the top of a minaret. My legs are still sore Hotel Malika Kheivak - At a small and peaceful restaurant, we lounged on the traditional Uzbek tables and ate gumma, something similar to fried dumpling pockets. Djuma Mosque - Known for its hypostyle hall, this is a landmark mosque and museum to visit when youre in Khiva. Tea House Mirza Boshi - For mid-morning snack, we headed over to a teahouse in the center of the old city to try a dish called shivit oshi, an Uzbekistan Khiva speciality of green dill noodles topped with meat stew. It was delicious. Shivit oshi - 20, 000 UZS (2. 42) per plate Fish Restaurant - For next lunch we headed out of the city a little ways to a river and pond to eat fish. The fish was fresh and we had both a fried fish and a grilled fish, both of which were delicious

The only reason why i disliked this video is because you drank coca-cola & yet misled your viewers by saying that it's red wine at first. & then sweet local wine after having it: D Come on Mark, have some respect for our intelligence Just because they served you Coke on a wine glass, does NOT mean that you have to play along with it by uttering a lie We can all literally see the coca-cola bottles on the table. & absolutely NO wine bottle at allFurthermore, those hosts are probably Muslims. some of them even wear headscarves. so it's very offensive & downright UNacceptable on your part to represent the Uzbek culture that way. coz any practising Muslim family might take objection to the fact that their hospitality has been wrongly interpreted as red/local wine serving gesture in front of the worldYou know the taste of Coca-Cola very well. & yet you lied Not cool at all, Mark. sorry, but for the first time, i'm really disappointed after watching one of your videos Hope you'll be more authentic from here on, mate Cheers: )

Hi MarkPulao is a traditional dish through out the central and south east Asia and the Middle East. You can say it's the prime muslim food made with rice and any meat or beef. Another variation is Biryani that has similar ingredients but different cooking method. I saw your videos of the tour of Pakistan from Karachi to Khunjrab pass. But I don't remember seeing you eating Pakistani Pulao.

I want one of those tools the woman used to beat the eggs lol. This is the most I have ever learned of Uzbekistan culture. I had never seen another video about this country. Thank you for introducing me Mark. This is one reason I enjoy your vlogs so much, to learn of faraway locations I am unfamiliar with. Their food looks amazing, and such a beautiful place and people.

I really appreciate the way you accompanied by Ur family. specially with a toddler. hats off to u n Ur wife. she seems to be so cooperative n sensible. otherwise generally good reviewers don't travel much once they have married or kids. but Ur son n spouse seems to enjoy it too. but it takes a lot of courage n money too to travel the world with family the way u do.
