Special thank you to Serena Shigar Fort for sponsoring my stay: On Day 8 of our trip to Pakistan we traveled from Islamabad to Skardu to begin our Himalaya / Karakoram Mountain region, Gilgit-Baltistan, part of this Pakistani food tour. If you havent seen the other videos in this series, watch them all here: We flew from Islamabad to Skardu, in Gilgit-Baltistan. Even the flight was spectacular as we passed by Nanga Parbat enroute to the gorgeous city of Skardu. Quick snack in Skardu - After landing we proceeded through security and immigration and continued on to Skardu town. We stopped in Skardu town to run a few errands along the way, and we happen to stop just outside a small shop selling chapli kebabs and a few different Pakistani curries. We had to stop for a quick snack. The chapli kebabs were excellent as usual, and the saag with meat curry was spectacular

Wow as a Tibetan, didnt know this was part of Tibetan empire a few centuries ago and I assumed its part of Shungshung empire from Guge in Tibet and also Leh, Ladhak. As Mark and the guide mentioned about 12: 00 minutes, the Fort was built by Tibetan chieftain and inside there is Tibetan Buddhist iconography engraved in the stones. I am pretty sure Baltis are very proud of their Tibetan heritage with the use of Tibetan language base. Love to visit and amazing food. Thank you.

It's good you are treated with food and hospitality otherwise majority of the population is striving hard to have two good meals a day. i just pray their kids get good education and there should be less corruption. people are innocent but they suffer a lot due to their politicians and army. I pray for good medical facilities for them as well. They have to come to neighborhood countries for small small medical operations and pay heavily due to their weak currency.

This is the 5th time I'm watching Marks' Pakistan video. I would love to visit Mardan, Islamabad and Northern regions, but i don't think if I would be allowed there being an Indian. Mark your videos are literally awesome especially about Baltistan area. Those video are extremely beautiful. Wish I could get a chance to visit. Let's hope India and Pakistan find peace with there relations, so i could visit Pakistan. Love from India.
