Best Food in the Maldives: SUBSCRIBE for more: Today we’re exploring the food of Fuvahmulah island in the Maldives! This island is unique in the Maldives because it’s a single island surrounded by deep sea. It’s known as Shark Island because of its high concentration of tiger sharks. It’s also known for deep sea fish, specifically snake mackerel which is a local delicacy. A huge thank you to Misbah and his family for arranging this amazing trip to Addu, Maldives. Aminath Shehenaz - A huge thank you to Aminath for hosting us on this amazing traditional Maldivian food tour today! The highlight of today was definitely Kattelhi Garudhiya - snake mackerel soup! My main concern is how to survive all of these financial and political crisis, especially in light of the US political power scuffle. The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance I was introduced to digital marketing all thanks to VICTORIA KATHERINE VEITH I went from $176, 000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $100, 000 networth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400, 000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling

Honestly, I had higher expectations from the Fuvahmulah community. I was hoping to see more local involvement in the beach lunch event. While I truly appreciate everyone’s efforts, including the contributions of foreign participants (this is not meant to sound disrespectful in any way, I believe it would have been even more meaningful if more locals had taken partespecially in preparing the food and creating a uniquely local experience. It had the potential to be something truly unforgettable

I think I've seen a screw pine tree in South Africa but I didn't know what it was or that you could eat it, until now. Matter of fact, I don't think many people here know that it's edible. Well, we learn something new daily hey and the next time I come across it again, am sO going to taste it.
Edit: showed this video to my mum. Says she's not sure if it's called screw pine but the one she tasted was white in colour, not red and looks like a watermelon as the one in this video

I love the food in the Maldives. It looks simple but flavorful. I had at least two of my favorites Mas Huni for breakfast and Masroshi as a snack, when I traveled to different atolls. I always enjoyed Masroshi, then dessert, Bondi candy. It’s very tasty! I can’t wait to visit the Maldives again.

My first thought is they should make an artificial reef. Actually, quite a few of them it would increase tourism and also create a source of food for the people of the island.

Loving all the posts lately, Mark, but I'll have to watch it later. Gotta get to work. Wish I was on that beach instead, eating all that good food like you.

These kinds of food could be 1 reason why Maldivians have a life expectancy of 80. 4 years. Which is 9 years more than the average in the world.

I was wanting to see you get into a bathysphere and go 600 meters deep and grab this fish with a mechanical arm. Next time.

These foods are so unique, served the exact same way, looking the exact same way and probably tasting completely identical
