One of the favorite food pastimes in Trinidad is to go to the river and have what s called a river lime, where you hang out with friends and family, cook some delicious food, and enjoy nature all at the same time. Today we re heading to Caura River, where Kev is going to cook up some delicious curry goat! We drove out to Caura River to first have our river lime. Kev was already busy in the setup tent kitchen along the riverside. On the menu, the main event was the Trinidadian curry goat, but we also had chana and potatoes, and curry duck. What I love so much about the Trinidad and Tobago curries are the layers of flavor - from the curry powder to the onions and garlic, to all the green seasoning like shadow beni and green onions and thyme. The recipes are amazing. We had an amazing feast, and I especially loved the curry goat and curry duck! Nanan's Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours - Next in the afternoon we headed out to Nanan's Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours for a boat tour and dinner at the amazing bird sanctuary, where scarlet ibis roost for. It was an amazing experience, and even better because we had dinner on the boat! And that completes another amazing day of food and sightseeing in Trinidad, food and nature at its best!

You're killing me, how do you eat so much food and stay so slim? Can you get a medical analysis and give us an explanation? My brothers friend had such a high metabolism that the doctor told him that if he sat on the couch and my brother ran a mile he would burn more calories just sitting on the couch, obviously hyperbole but man how do you do it?

Something that stood out watching this episode is we wash meats until white and in that same breath dump everything onto a warped disposable plate haha. We really don't care for theatrics, not that there isn't merit in that. Mark is a cool one too if no one felt pressured to give him extra special treatment.

I 'm a Trini. Thank you Mark for highlighting our country. Because of our diverse culture and the blend of different races we have alot of different foods to choose from and our scorpion pepper. well you have to taste for yourself. You must visit Tobago as well Mark. to finish the taste of T&T. Enjoy!

Nice move to take Mark to Caura River. Please note how caura became famous on a Monday, business people who usually works on weekends saturday and Sunday used to take their day off on a Monday hence the popularity. But it's always a best lime every day in Caura.

Where are my curry in every episode people? You all gone silent? You weren't so silent when David Hoffman was here. What you all fail to realize is that if you take away the Indian element in our cuisine you would take away a huge portion of the soul of Trinidad.

This is a great video but might I suggest that you experience the versatility of our culture. There are a lot of African influenced foods that you may not be aware of or may not have experienced.
