I'm a sri lankan. I could visit jaffna after rescued those areas from LTTE it is very good journey I could speak with Tamil people's when I visit pharmacies when I worked for a Pharmaceutical company in this area. actually in our areas like KURUNEGALA Z, MATALE, KANDY and our village also living TAMILS MUSLIMS. HINDUS. SINHALESE in the same areas and we even exchange foods which prepared in their homes we celebrate FESTIVALS with them do we live in harmony and pease in my childhood, before 1983 I COULD SEE busses travel on the road Named destination JAFFNA -COLOMBO. even those days our parents have told us ONIONS, TOBACCO LEAVES cultivate in Jaffna and they sell and transport to interior areas like Kandy Ratnapura Colombo Kurunegala Anuradapura. But unfortunately LTTE began to fight for land. And for their own regime. Several things happened in 30 years but today now we can go to jaffna again. We are very happy about it. WE work with TAMILS MUSLIMS SINHALESE in the same offices. Live in the same village in peace harmony. So thank God for giving us peace again. -Kenneth

appriciate ur eforts to eat rice by hand little more travel in SL u will get it quickly. by nw warzones r more developed. even SL forces play a major role developing activities in those areas, after defeating LTTE Terrorists in 18May2008 by SL forces rescuing more civilians. This note is in May 16, 2018. I hv covered almost every corner of West Jaffna nw. visited all possible islands whicj has quick acess. East Jaffna too covered but not every corner oneday planing to do that.

Mark you amaze me with the places you eat at. I have been to Sri Lanka three times and never been given newspaper to wipe my mouth withI guess it is because I only eat in hotels and guest houses while I travelled around that beautiful island. It is the size of Tasmania but boy does it take time to get around. The food is amazing because of the islands heritage

Hi Mark Sri Lanka is just south of India. The beautiful island country of Sri Lanka is very much dependant for all their basic needs on India Pls do mention the cost of the food you consume for eg, in Sri Lanka so that future tourists like us would be well informed. Great video and appreciate your passion for food and travelling around the world

Yeah definitely a great city, in the Northern tip of Sri lanka. Majority of inhabitants were hard working, religious minded, intelligent Tamil people. I am a Sinhalese. But I whole heartedly acknowledge them. Let long lasting peace and prosperity return to the Island nation of Sri lanka(Pearl of the Indian Ocean)

Hey. thank you show me our country. You really enjoy everything in our country ( news paper napkin too). I'm proud of be a srilanka. But unfortunately last year I came to Canada. I have been missing my country. When I was in jaffna to study at university of jaffna I enjoyed everything over there. Thank you dear.

Jaffna is a beautiful city which was located in Northern provinces of Sri Lanka. So many beautiful places are there but this man has shown very few places. Always this man has eaten only parotta and fish curry. So many treditional foods are there in Jaffna. Ravindran Tirupur

wowowo its remained me the nice place. i was lived in Badulla for 3 years its about 7 hours by car from Colombo. most everyday my appu cooking some mayokka and fish curry for me. that is 19 87. and went to Nurellya and Hambantotta and Kandy. Love Srilanka

I'm a Sri Lankan but so disgusted with myself for not being able to go to the north yet and have some of their delicious food items. I've eaten some of their food items when I went to tamil shops in Colombo and wow. from Matara, Sri Lanka
