Eh, what is with the big plates and small portions. Never understood that. Where im from, the plate is filled with all the courses. Bam. You're full and minimum dishwashing. These types of restaurants in my opinion overestimate themselves. They are for people with deep pockets. I am a non discriminatory person. That means if i have food, i will never discriminate against a poor person. Unfortunately, these types of establishments do. What's good about down home cooking. Is it will feed both the poor and the rich. Conversely, these places only cater to the rich. That's their prerogative. Personally, it's disgusting on many levels. I would rather eat at a humble restaurant with the poor. Much more fulfilling. On more levels than just food. I do see that Mark weins does eat village food and at local markets. So this is not a personal jab. I am only staying my opinion that i stay away from status symbol restaraunts. And fine. If that's their business model. So be it. Personally its a turn-off. As i said. A humble restaurant will feed the poor and the rich. A supposed upscale restaurant only caters to the rich. My ethics and morals is. if i am serving food, it is affordable for ALL. not just snobby elitists who want to impress whomever with money. The LOVE of money truly is the root of all evil.

Mark, were you still hungry after the dinner? I mean the plates and bowls were big but the portion in it small, just two mouthful and that was done. I mean with your record of 5 bowls of noodles in a morning, I am pretty sure you were still hungry after that.

Interesting to see groups of chefs & kitchen workers assembling the dishes. At times it looked like surgeons in an operating room with their masks, rubber gloves & pointed metal chopsticks & utensils delicately placing each element on the plates. Bizarre

Food like this wont even feel you up and it isnt really anything that amazing its just good food but in small portions and then you will end up paying hundreds of pounds or whatever for it. I would try something like this but maybe once just for fun.

The al LA carte, succulent, elegant Thai eclectic crusines look phenomenal Almost looks like a food Vincent Van Gogh' s opus The only thing I do not like about high end restaurants is that they never disseminate enough foods to satisfied my tummy

My husband and I had gone there last year and it is definitely worth it. The presentation and flavors is so good, its one of our favorite fancy dining restaurants. We will definitely go again when we can make another trip to Thailand.
