SHIRAZ, IRAN - Shiraz is one of the most beautiful cities in all of Iran, and once you get there you will immediately know why. The architecture, ancient history, the kindness of the people, and the delicious Iranian food, all contribute to making it such a special city. In this ultimate Iranian food tour of Shiraz, we will eat the most iconic foods of Shiraz, from street food to faloodeh, to home cooking Breakfast in Shiraz - Ash Sabzi, which is a porridge of lamb, beans, and tarragon, is a staple of Iranian breakfast, and the best of the best is in Shiraz. Its a special dish, its filling, and its incredibly tasty. We went to the right place, it was packed and they sell about 1000 kilos of ash sabzi per day. We also tried their haleem - Porridge of lamb and wheat - that was different from any other versions Ive ever had. Delicious way to begin this food tour. Nasir-ol-molk Mosque - The Pink Mosque - One of the most magnificent sights in Shiraz is the Nasir-ol-molk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque. The decorations, mosaics, and light, will make you stand in awe. Jamshidian Lemon Juice, Shiraz, Iran - Shirazi Faloodeh - Persian dessert since 400 BC Theres no way you can go to Shiraz and miss out on Shirazi faloodeh, a dessert thats popular now around the world, but started in Shiraz. And we tried an original version. Tomb of Hafez - Shiraz, Iran - Next up on this ultimate tour of Shiraz, Iran, we visited the Tomb of Hafez, a famous poet. The traditional Persian gardens are spectacular. Parhami Traditional House - This was a real treat of a meal - a home cooked traditional Shiraz food meal at Parhami Traditional House. The food and hospitality were on the next level. Here are some of the main dishes we tried: Kalam Polo Shirazi - Persian cabbage rice Ghormeh Sabzi - Persian herb stew Ghanbar Polo - Rice, meatballs, nuts and dried fruit Koofteh Sabzi Shirazi - Herb and vegetable balls Thank you to everyone who made this day so special, and to everyone we met in Shiraz, Iran Thank you to Ghasr Setareh for arranging our trip to Iran

29: 00 looks like Dosa (South Indian food. I see some commonality across different food cultures of the world especially with Mediterranean, middle eastern and mexican foods. Iran has rich culture and Mark Wiens video helps show the world the real Iran and hospitality of the people.

Shiraz the city of poetry and literature. Two of our greatest poems are from this city, Hafez and Saadi shirazi who we respect a lotAlso that mosque is Nasir al mosque. If you be there at early morning when the sun rises you can see dance of lights through the colorful windows.

All the food looked amazing. Even though Im not Muslim, & never been into a mosque, well all I can say is WOW. What an amazing building. Full of history, the details in the stonework is amazing. The people seemed so friendly, hospitable, & all went above & beyond. Great to see

Fun fact--- sambousa is a very historical Persian food that was called SAMBOUSAG and was spread to the provinces within the empire and neighboring regions. It fell out of popularity with Iranian people but remained popular with central Asian and Indians.
