Thai sausage addiction - sai krok Isaan ) John Scarborough: My favourite Thai sausage is Chiang Mai or Northern sausage. I love it with the green chilli paste they serve it with. I bought a kit from Bangkok where you mix the spices with mince pork and fill the casings the kit comes with. It was very close to the real thing. I tried the sausage in this video in Chiang Mai last November and it was awful. It was full of large pieces of uncooked pork. Your one looks much nicer.

I first tasted Thai sausage in the streets of Bangkok. These sausages were the best I ever tasted in my life ( compared with Hungarian, Polish, Italian and American sausages) but as I took my second bite my head started spinning and found myself catching my breathe. I had to sit down alone by myself in the midst of nowhere. I realised that I do not know a word of Thai except the name of this sausage. Back in the hotel with my Thai friends, they explained that I had a reaction to MSG as these sausages are loaded with MSG. Lesson learned. do not take a food adventure on your own. Thai food remains to be my favourite.

Saw these on the street vendors but didn't realize what a treat I was missing. But I really enjoyed the fresh fried chicken and the different styles of soup. Will certainly make a plan to enjoy the sausage next time I'm there. Left Oct 30th, ready to go back NOW Was in Phuket for 8 days and 22 days in Bangkok but mainly there for dental so I didn't feel like getting out much. SO much to check out, so little time.

30cent per stick? I think I could live off eating few sticks each meal per day for the rest of my life hahahawhen I was little, I go to school in Thailand. and I'm sure it's different sausage from what you had. because I remembered that at the school, the ones I ate wasn't sour, and it's only rice and pork. nothing else in the sausage casing. but both sour and non-sour are good

Althow I hate sasaauge, I loved the whole little area I could feel the sence of being there the birds. Chirping the Plants are supper green I fee like it's one of the calmist street scences I seen. I picture a little cafe around the corner. Verry inviting. (Love all your loud Indian street foods) but this was a nice FREShING quiet street food.

I got so addicted with these for the four years I lived in Thailand. I think i had them for dinner straight for a full week without being sick of the taste. I so miss it and the fact that I can't make them or find them anywhere outside Thailand makes it hard.

As far as I've ever seen, you are the 2nd westherner who can eat the bird chillies like that. I got a friend from Australia whose family's from Marcedonia. He can eat the bird chillies like candy. And I got to confess that I can't, even I'm a Thai.

Hello Mark As usual: great video. I will travel to Phuket for a long stay in March and I am afraid I will get food poisoning. I eat alot and train hard. Is there any way to ease into eat? My Swedish stomach is probably sensitive, first time outside of Europe.

Dang Mark Wiens, you had to throw a video up with Isaan sausages I love those things. I especially love it when the vendor has the little cucumbers to accompany them and of course with the bird chili chaser. Great stuff and great video dude
