Yep. You picked the wrong town. What I love about Osaka okonamiyaki is how light and fluffy they are. Tokyo has loads of great foods, but never quite figured that dish out. I also saw your review of a ramen stand, and you definitely have southeast asian taste buds. You put so much garlic in the ramen, I was shocked. Lol. But, you are entitled to eat foods and like or dislike them anyway you feel. Keep up the good reviews. I just moved recently to Thailand and I am adjusting my taste buds to the food here.

Its not of any delicacy this dish so, its not delicious compared to more exotic Japanese dishes but it still is popular for some reason because of the atmosphere these okonomiyaki teppan yaki places have. Its good in the winter when its freezing cold compared to going there in hot sticky summer nigths. If you want it spicey, bring yourself a Shichimi Tougarashi, you can find them in 100 yen LAWSON for 108 yen or even tabasco. but Japanese are not spice eaters compared to Indians or Thai, just to let you know

This is my personal opinion. But, you had to go to Kansai area to take Okonomiyaki. There are two large cultural areas in Japan. One is Kanto area of which central city is Tokyo. Other is Kansai area of which central city is Osaka. I who was born and is living in Kanto area, can't help admitting that Okonomiyaki in Kansai area is much better than that in Kanto area. I agree that Okonomiyaki is a kind of snack. If you have a time, please try Okonomiyaki of Kansai area next time.

Japanese food culture is so interesting and intriguing. It feels like that even most of the street food and fast food is healthier than say Northern American or European. It also is amazing to see these small restaurants and street shops with their owners. Japanese food is definitely something I hope to get the chance to try in Japan. Not a chance that the westernized versions could ever live up to the original.

Before you even ate the food, i was thinking the same exact things you said about the dish LOLI reckon your taste buds are totally Indonesian dude, you got that extreme chilli/pungent flavoured tastebud (from what i've seen) If you ever go to indonesia, let me know, i can find a good list of food to try - even the more traditional, uncommon food. You got the best food show dude, peace.

Wow that looks so good It's like pizza/amulet. Verry interactive And it's a pancake? It kinda looked like u where at a Asian Pizza Hut when u take that one slice. That next video with the balls, looks like desert. Mark have u thought about showing international candy? Maybe the end of your videos? I know u don't like sweats, anyways, keep smiling Eating And living peace out

Hi Mark. I always enjoy your video, but I must say this now: You have chosen a WRONG restaurant It is a bad idea to eat Okonomiyaki in Tokyo. You should go to Osaka (or Hiroshima) to enjoy REAL AUTHENTIC Okonomiyaki. Japan is actually larger than you think it is, and each district has its own characteristic food culture. Trust me, I'm from Osaka, Japan.

I like your honesty. When you don't like it you're very honest about it. Not like that other video I was watching where the African-American female food blogger pretended to the nice Korean lady that she liked that red bean delicacy but when the lady turned her back this blogger faced the camera and said she didn't like it afterall.
