I was going to leave the comment very interesting especially the bamboo Park I don't know why I was looking for a panda bear to pop out any moment but I was. Mark you seem so damn hungry on this trip I didn't know I could see it in your eyes you look like you were going to burst if you didn't get something to eat I'm glad you got that taken care of either way I like enjoy this video very much was very interesting especially the history thousand-year-old Bridge that was amazing it was very interesting very enjoyable I realize this one of your older vlogs. fascinating nevertheless especially the way you were navigating. I also have the feeling that Ying wanted to pop u upside the head lol. no sure why? as always I sent you my best God bless and keep doing what you're doing.

I thought from the title of the video that you had gone to a real tofu restaurant. You should try and check one out if you can. they're expensive but they're amazing. I am a carnivore. but trust me. the best food I've ever tasted in Japan was a tofu restaurant where every dish contains tofu cooked in different ways from starter to main to dessert. When my wife told me my in-laws were taking me to a tofu restaurant, my heart sank. I was like NOOOO take me for Korean bbq, sukiyaki, sushi, crab nabe, izakaya. anything but a tofu restaurant. but wow. massive convert.

I am amazed that someone can dislike a video such as this. Thank you Mark for sharing these. I stumbled across this by accident looking for other food videos. I love to eat and try new foods. I will try most any food. Some of the meals you are showing are amazing I live in a rural area with not much access to fresh ingredients although it is getting better. Also book marked migrationology. com

Mark you're turning Japanese, you almost said prain side at 8: 36 quickly correcting yourself. Really enjoying you vlogs so far. Going back home to Japan for a visit, and your videos remind me of what food I'm missing living in the UK. You've inspired me to get a bigger memory card for my camera to perhaps start recording my travels to share on utube. Keep up the fine work

Great video Mark, as usual. Just for your information, the jelly-like sweet you ate would have been made with agar-agar and the brown powder would have been kinako - made with roasted soy bean flour. The tofu dishes would have been very healthy, but perhaps a bit bland, compared with the Thai dishes you are used to. Too bad about the weather.

What really attracts me to Marks Videos is his positiveness and appreciation for food and life in general. It does make me happy to see him smiling and making the best out of his opportunities as a human being, creating such an adorable lifestyle. I love food in the same way and i also express it when i am eating and travelling: )

To take a dish on the rice in Japan looks ill-mannered. But a democratic store is no problem. The long chopsticks used at the last way are SAIBASHI. When dealing the case when I cook and a dish out, that's something to use. Thank you very much for your wonderful movie. From Japan, good luck, I'm hoping.
