I think it would be a good idea to start to try to cook your own food based on what you've learned by traveling. Home dinner experimentation with your wife maybe? I love your videos the most on youtube for sure, but being a woman and seeing your wife always behind you while you make your videos makes me feel as if she may be lonely. Eating with someone most times is the best and maybe only time you get to spend with your family. Even though you two are traveling together youre always making a blog with camera in hand. probably talking more to the camera than youre wife. Not to make accusations, that is just what it looks like from the viewer (I cannot speak for anyone else, just myself. And the fact that it seems you're always recording yourself or she is recording you while you eat makes me think she is being neglected possibly a bit. A home cooked series of you with your child and wife may even put your youtube career in even more success and stature within every community. And I would love a shirt and hat anytime Many Blessings - Natalie

Mark. There has been a almost imperceptible shift and improvement in the quality of your video work. Optical quality, editing, camera angles and selection and addition of music. I really am enjoying watching the new work. There are a couple of things that I find uncomfortable though, in most of the videos. I know that the facial expression that you use is almost your trademark. but I find myself closing my eyes knowing that it is coming. I am also distracted by the huge amounts of food that you put into your mouth at one time. Is this proper etiquette in your part of the World? Just wondering. Thanks and keep up the interesting videos. Bud Miller

I somehow managed to forget to go to Fushimi Inari when I visited Kyoto and I'm still kicking myself over it. Awesome looking place. Really came to love soba on my last trip as there was a small shop around the corner from my hotel with a tremendous selection of hot soba dishes. I did visit Nishiki Market and was amazed at the variety of foods available. That comfort food place's menu looked so good. Love stuff like that. Oyakodon is great but I still prefer katsudon. The katsu curry looked damn good as its usually my fave order at curry houses like Coco's. Kinda surprised Ying hasn't hit you yet for snitching her food. LOL

Hi Mark, you mentioned that the shrine was very peaceful in the morning. Shrines and Temples in Japan are also very peaceful in the middle of the day. If you enter them, you can barely hear the sounds of the city not so far away. I once asked a Shinto priest about this and he told me that it was because of the wood used to make the Shrines and Temples and the surrounding trees. He said that the wood blocks the noise. As he explained it, if it is quiet, the Gods can hear your prayers. What point is it if the Gods cannot hear what you are saying?

I couldn't help but watch this again, as I absolutely LUV noodles: D I think it's about time Ying would need to introduce and comment on her dish instead of letting Mark digging into her food; what with the fact that Mark takes BIG bites out of her plate. Poor girl, no wonder she's so skinny: D Good food videos, world class already.

Maybe some editing is in order. I am sure everyone goofs up when eating, but sometimes the way you stuff massive amounts of food in your mouth is well, plain unappealing. Makes one lose their appetite you know. Also, some practice in eating skills is probably long due. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it shouldn't be unappealing either.
