Osaka Food Guide: I have to admit Day 13 went nothing like I wanted it to or as I had planned but that sometimes happens in travel (and life, and we can get frustrated and annoyed, or we can make the most of it and try to look for the good and positive. 00: 56 Ghar Curry - After trying to go to a few other restaurants that were all closed, we finally found Ghar Curry, a restaurant that just happened to be open near where we already were. The food, which was Indian but with Japanese influence, turned out to be really good. If you are looking for amazing curry, they are doing a wonderful job. Ghar Curry Address: 1-9-10-103, Osaka, Japan 550-0003 Open hours: 11: 30 am - 2 pm for lunch daily, 6 pm - 10 pm for dinner on weekdays only Prices: My lunch curry cot 850 JPY Website: How to get there: Take the subway to Hommachi station, take Exit 28, and its just a short walk from there. 4: 22 Osaka Aquarium (Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan) - One of the final things we wanted to do in Osaka was go to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. It turned out to be really wonderful but unfortunately since it was a holiday, it was extremely busy - it was basically single file through the entire Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, but nevertheless, it was a great place to visit. We paid 2, 550 JPY for entrance, which included an all day subway pass for Osaka. 6: 18 Tempozan Ferris Wheel - 800 JPY (6. 67) - After the aquarium, we headed over to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and had a nice rice on the wheel with a great view of Osaka. I thought it was well worth it. For dinner we ate at a ramen restaurant called Nosta Osaka in the Namba area, but unfortunately they didnt want me to film - so sorry I cant show you any of it. The ramen was alright, with a big portion, but it was a bit too salty. Not the best day in Osaka, but still alright. Stay tuned for tomorrow - a big final food day

Hi Mark, another good video. I live here in Japan and have a little travel blog that I do, so I am very familiar with the day that you just had, especially regarding the crowds. I have to pick and choose carefully the places that I go to and the days that I go there. When you consider it is a country the size of New Zealand, which has a little more than 4 million people, but Japan has 125 million people, it is something that you do have to get used to living here. Having said that, it is a beautiful country that I am happy to call home, and I'm happy that you made it here and are giving it some more exposure

Cool, its nice to see the ever efficient Japanese can be as incompetent as our economy here in the UK. Curry, even Japanese influenced curry, does not do it for me but hey whatever fills a void at moment. The ramen house were idiots so many like this everywhereHope tomorrow is a better day and if not there is so much more of Asia to explore and its wonderfully varied cuisine. Wanting more but wanting more of exciting and varied food from Japan-but I know Mr Wiens will seek out the best available and will be most pointed about the average. So onward to the supreme of Japanese food.

Hi Mark and Ying Indian food but Japanese style that's not too bad. it looks OK. and looks delicious. I like sauce as well with rice of course. That's to bad you can't take photos on that ramen restaurant. that's more ramen videos to come right. It was not ur day but at least that Indian food and that ferris wheel made it a little bit better. Thank you guys for taking us on your awesome journey. and just want to say thank you for answering our comments. you really take the time to answer all our comments. Thanks again Mark and YingElwyn

I wonder if he had canceled his meal order because he can't take videos if the owner would have relented? His job is taking videos of food and naming the restaurant. That's free commercial. And since I've been watching his videos I recall once where the food was bad because it was too salty. So I don't see the harm. Now most of us watching the video won't go to that restaurant if we happen to be in the area.

i know how it feels. i was sick almost half of my trip when it started in bkk. emergency infusion at airport clinic, vomiting while landing in sg from gravity pull, getting wheeled around for 20 sgd until full breakdown in mindanao. better to find a restaurant closed then forcefully feeding any fish around. still no idea why my body went cross with me. i am sure it wasn't food.

You and Ying are most resilient in being able to change plans. As you intimated, who knows what is going to happen when you are away from home. But, my dear Mark, you NEVER let us down. thank you for this video. .. I am not a 100% fan of Indian food but you are causing me to want to expand my gastronomic tastes. I personally thank Ying for all her work and patience.

Hey Mark Still loving the vlogs of Japan Has there ever been a time where Ying stopped you from eating her dishes because it was sooooo delicious? It is just so funny to see you trying her food all the time because my wife and I do the same, BUT if it's too good. she totally keeps me away Hahaha Keep up with the posts and too bad it was a holiday today in Nihon

Not sure if you'll read this, Mark, but even given the challenges of the day you had in this video, you never get down and always have a smile on your face and a positive outlook. Great work and safe travels to you, Ying and (since the posting of this video) your adorable son, Micah. Thankshope to visit some of your locales someday Keep it up

Sorry that Silver Week interrupted your travel and food plans, Mark Hopefully it didn't cause you too many troubles over the subsequent days. Of course, we were celebrating the the 5-day weekend here in Japan but it can be difficult (and unexpected) for visitors. Hope that our paths cross in Tokyo or elsewhere in Japan sometime
