SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week Peymans Channel In this food tour of Dubai, we started with some of the most legendary of all Iranian kebabs in Dubai. I then took to exploring the spice souk, and finally we headed over to Bu Qtair to eat a whole fish fry - another one of the most famous, sort of Dubai street food style meals. AL Ustad Special Kabab - The food here is spectacular. If youre looking for some mind-blowing flavorful kebabs, this is the place to eat when youre in Dubai. All the kebabs were amazing, but the lamb marinated lamb was mind-blowing

So I was at Bu Qtair yesterday. As I sat waiting for my shrimp and fish a delivery guy came in with 3 stack boxes stacked on a hand truck. The boxes read cut and peeled shrimp [farm raised] - I only noticed because he came from behind me-- my chair was near the door [there are two in the searing area] and I was bumped a bit. Very disappointed by this. Is there no place where you can get actual real shrimp anymore. Sorry but farm raised shrimp don't cut it.

Mark you have been to all my favourite restaurants and I was a regularly customer to both the restaurant when I was in Dubai back in 2000 it took me back to my memory lane, rightly said the food in both the restaurants is mouth watering and your review and comments are spot on. I miss the soup you have had at the Iranian restaurant and Bu Qtair fried fish and paratha. :)

The first restaurant established in 1978 called Ustadi, where is it located in Deira? I was in Dubai from 1973 to 2001 but cannot recall it. Is it at Nasser Square? Love Iranian/Persian (which includes Afghani) cuisine. The fish is out of this world After having a meaty tour for a couple of days it is advisable to have a vegetarian diet to give the system a rest.

All these restaurant kebabs from around the world have such a lovely charred aroma, but when we try to grill them at home on coal grills, they pick up a weird scent, almost a slight hint of diesel, esp coals in North America. Why is that? Why can't they smell exactly like restaurant grills? Do they use some kind of special coals or a mixture of coal and wood, I wonder?

I hate it when in cmmnts section ppl start fighiting over the nationality of food n somehow show their superiority complexes. y hvent humans accpted tht all r equal. every race, nationality is just fr recognition not fr fighting. belive me once v accpt ppl as equal to us, there wil b no war. its high time v all come togethr n save ths planet earth from wars

Fantastic. And I'm so glad you eat with your fingers not cutlery. I loved the prawns, all spiced up and fried. I reckon we get the best prawns here in Australia but unfortunately they are just consumed sort of par-boiled with no spices. It's so unimaginative and not enticing at all. Prawns deserve more respect and proper treatment.
