As a Brit expat in USA, I was raised on meat n potatoes, fish and chips but having lived in 4 countries and travelled 8; I've expanded my cooking, cuisine knowledge to international foods. I so love cheese and lamb is my favourite meat. Did rosemary roasted leg of lamb with homemade mint sauce for my family Xmas dinner. Too wimpy to try lamb stomach though. LolThanks for further enlightening me on world cuisine. Bless you and your family. Treasure every moment with your beautiful son. Life is fragile. Lost the first of my 4 sons. UK born but a veteran of Persian gulf war with US Army.

Amazing job in chania, I live in Greece Piraeus and my name is Takis Ventikos. I enjoy looking the expressions of your face when you taste the food. My sons do the same thing when I cook for them. I thing you must try a cruise with Celestyal Cruise, why because they go to Miconos, Turkey Patmos Rhodes, Crete and Santorini like that in few days you can taste so many traditional plates. If you ever want to do that, let me know zeusbentikosyahoo. gr I work in the ship and I will be glad to help you out. Enjoy

Turkish cuisine? Come on you must be joking What did you eat before you conquered Istanbul? Meat that you tender on your horses saddle? Get real there is not Turkish cuisine it is based on the multicultural cuisine that turks found on Konstantinoplewhich was the biggest trade center in the world therefore a crossroad of flavors spices and recipes from all over the world

Hi Mark, Superb videos. Thanks very much Like how you enjoy and are respectful of all cultures and their food. A must have for a global traveller yah. As a Muslim, I have dietary restrictions (no pork and un-halaal meat) so seafood in Crete looks and sounds awwesome. I wouldn't have known about this place if not for your video. Thanks very much and God bless

The people you saw putting cinnamon and sugar on their bougatsa are eating the sweet version of bougatsa with the cream filling not the savoury kind with the cheese filling that you're eating. Bougatsa comes with many fillings both sweet and savoury. Sugar and cinnamon are only put on the sweet ones. But you enjoyed it and that's what counts

The cheese breakfast things look nummy, the gyro thing looks nummy, but the squid and fish, especially the eggs and liver, I can do without. (No offense) I have never eaten lamb, but if the Greek Orthodox people think it's ok to eat lamb, I could try it, except for the stomach parts. Your baby boy is adorable

Next time try the restaurant To Stachi, the best food in chania. Its a vegetarian restaurant but makes the most fresh food I have ever tasted. Also try the locale street's where a street its closed off and people sell locale products, vegetable, fruit and clothes ( a lot of fake brands.

Mark, if only you've went to Thessaloniki, the second capital of Greece. The gyros is triple the size than either athens, or chania, in the same price. Fuuuull of meat and potatoes, and you can put whatever sause you want inside. Glad you like our country Thank you
