Maguro Brothers is an amazing little Japanese Hawaii seafood restaurant. Maguro Brothers Hawaii - On my latest trip to Hawaii, some of my relatives had told me about Maguro Brothers, a small stall at the back of the market in Chinatown. It sounded like exactly the type of place I need to go. So one day we drove down for lunch. Immediately I loved the atmosphere of the market. They have a short but everything you need menu, and most dishes are on the Japanese food side - with donburi bowls, and they also have some Hawaiian style poke. But as I found out, even their poke is more Japanese style, and amazing. Chu-toro donburi with uni - First dish I tried was the chu-toro donburi with uni. Chu-toro is the medium fatty tuna with sea urchin on the side. It was as fresh as possible, and absolutely delicious. Grilled king salmon belly - Next I couldnt resist the grilled king salmon belly which was magically fatty and bursting with fatty juices. It was so good. Hawaiian limu poke - Finally, I also couldnt resist a tub of Hawaiian limu poke, my personal favorite style of poke - cubes of ahi (tuna) with limu, which is a type of sea algae that has an amazing crisp texture. Their poke was insanely delicious

Just visited Maguro Brothers in Honolulu and they were great I had a Chirashi Donburi with Uni, Hamachi Kama, Poke, and raw oysters. This place is a low-key and very good. The only thing that bothered me was the chicken feet food stall right in-front of Maguro Brothers. Otherwise, this place should a get 5-stars

I really enjoy your video blogs. They make my mouth water. You have such a lovely way of presenting things and of enjoying good food My only criticism is that I wish you could name more of the fish you eat when travelling so we, your fan base, can look them up for future ordering.

I like to go back to Hawaii. I was only there for a few days. I would eat what Mark was eating. Next time I will stay there at least a week. All I will do will eat. eat. eat. Raw fish is yakky to me. Also, the head and the belly are the best parts of the fish.

I love watching you eat because you're so appreciative and passionate about everything Even when you come across foods that aren't to your taste you always go directly to things you love about it. May you continually spread your love and compassion

My mom and I would keep the salmon belly and the bones left from prep to grill after her restaurant closed, saving the best for last. Salmon and tuna collar are two of my favorites off the grill. This makes me hungry

Dude you are becoming the NEW traveling food icon. I think bourdain is thing of the past since his show is now deviated from what suppose to be food and food alone. Keep it up Mark

can someone tell me the difference between sushi and sashimi? Sashimi is without rice just raw meat whereas sushi is with rice. is this right and is there anything more to it?
