Luang Prabang is an amazing historical city in Laos, and it also happens to be an amazing city for food. Youll find an array of incredible Lao food to experience. Morning Market - One of the best places to get started eating Lao street food in Luang Prabang is the morning market. Its low-key, relaxing, the vendors are incredibly friendly, and theres so much delicious food to try. From wild grilled beehive to khao piak sen noodles, the food is so good, its hard to ever go anywhere else when youre in Luang Prabang. The food highlight for me was the grilled honey comb, since it was so rare and unique. Additionally, youll have a blast checking out all the ingredient at the market. Heres what I ate: Grilled beehive - 5, 000 LAK (0. 60) Mung bean cake - 5, 000 LAK (0. 60) for 2 Naem Khao gee - 5, 000 LAK (0. 60) for 3 Noodle rolls - 10, 000 LAK (1. 20 Khao piak sen - 15, 000 LAK (1. 80) per bowl Phosi Market - One of the biggest markets in Luang Prabang is Phosi Market. Unfortunately there wasnt much pre-cooked food when we went there in the middle of the day, but luckily we found some amazing food. Sai oua - Sai oua is the northern Laos version of sausage, and its a life-changer. This stall served some of the best sausage, not only that Ive had in Laos, but in the world. Youll find sai oua all over Luang Prabang. Price - 10, 000 LAK (1. 20) each Sticky rice feast - I desperately wanted a Luang Prabang sticky rice meal for lunch, so eventually after walking around a little we found the perfect spot. She had a variety of different Lao food stews to choose from and they all look great. All the dishes were delicious, but the best Lao food of the meal for me was the bowl of aw bon (or bon) - made from taro leaves

I have to admit Mark's videos are awesome, but he is always positive. Luang Prabang has some awesome places to eat, cheap to middle way. The 5000 Kip food can be great & the expensive places (for LP) are amazing. There is a great bakery there & an up-market restaurant not far from the night market entrance. The night market i found to be poor quality, very bland especially the buffets there. You have to go out to the high street & further for traditional food that is great. The tourist night market was the worst place we ate, we tried it a few time at different stools & it was high price compared to outside & many bland thing. Some were okay, such as the fish. Overall we loved Luang Prabang, the drinks they serve in bags are awesome & the fresh coconut one was amazing, about 30p per bag.

Mark I love all of your videos. We (my husband and I) cannot wait to meet you one day. We thought we almost had the chance when we reached out to you while we were in Ethiopia and we saw your video of you being in Ethiopia with Ying. I almost jumped out of my skin at the thought that you were there too but when you reached back out to us you said that the video was a month ago: -( we were so sad but we know God is going to give us that divine hookup to meet you and Ying and hopefully Micah soon. The ultimate reason I'm writing you is to tell you that we absolutely love Joel accompanying you. He has such an awesome and wonderful personality and he's an awesome addition to your show. Bless you all throughout your travels.

I think its nice that Joel accompanies Mark to all these strange places; its good company for him because Ying does not really participate verbally. I believe Mark chose his companion well, and he does need some male companionship as well. You don't want someone with you who does not share the same values about food, meeting new people and tolerance of other cultures. As you see Mark fits in everywhere. Love you Mark and Joel; Love you too Ying and Micah.

Mark do you have standards? I ask because the Honey Bees are so much in danger. You seem like a smart man. But you have to have something besides eating food that you are passionate about. Please don't eat anything that is endangered. Please. And it scares me how much the Asians take from our oceans. I see in all your videos they have market after market of fish stands.

For as open and excited as Mark seems to truly be about most all of the food he is eating, his buddy seems quite the opposite, as if it is taking all of his mental strength and fortitude to swallow what he is eating. As much as Id love to try what Mark is eating based on his expressions, I have little desire to try the same foods based on his friends expressions.

Mark thank you so much for your videos I love the love that you have for Asian and African food. You are showing the world how magnificent our cuisines are. I am so tempted to go to every place you've visited. Keep it up bro I'm a fan for life and have introduced my husband and so many others to you.

i dont dislike Joel, but i think maybe he should be more genuine? some of the foods, he hasnt even bite or just put inside his mouth, not even chew it or just chew it and he already start giving the delicious kind of look. I dont believe if you didnt chew it nicely u will know the foods are good.

Mark, I know you Christians think that animals are here for you to use any way you'd like. but please stop promoting jungle meat for EFF sake. Those animals are illegally poached and likely threatened on some level. This is at least the second video I've seen you do this crap. Smfh

no wonder there are shortages of bees now people are too obsesssed with food, eating, eating everything, nothing is off limits, maybe start eating each other, it is crap to be animal on this planet that is for sure. I like Joel tho he is nice, cute and genuine.
