Hi Mark Wiens I started watching your videos not long ago and I just love you, Ying and baby Micah. I am amazed about the way you interact with the people and their food because for someone who was born and raised in US, you are just wonderful. You just make me want to be your guest in one of videos in Asia. I love the way you eat anything and everything spicy like me. I was happy to see you in Ghana, West Africa eating there was meaningful to me because Am from the Ivory Coast and we have similarities in our dishes. You are inspiring me to take a trip to Asia just to eat some delicious soups and dishes. Believe my mouth is watering while writing this. Love from Ivory Coast.

Nice video, But. you guys have to learn to eat lao foods in proper manner. When eating sticky rice with main courses like fish salad (koy pa) or meat salad (lab ) or any main courses. You don't have to raise your mouth upward and dump food down you throat. It looks awkward and impolite. I suggest you just make smaller portion of sticky rice and head looks straight down at you plate and gently put in your mouth. Do you eat like that at your home country?

I just recently within the last week stumbled upon your videos Mark and Im hooked lol I love different kinds of foods its always fun trying something new. How many languages do you speak? I enjoyed the South Korea videos and now Laos this is awesome. You definitely like the spicy side of life lol too spicy for me lol but its fun to watch others enjoy

Hi Mark, I'm from Suriname and I enjoy all your video's. The salad the lady is preparing looks so delicious. Also because of the chili spices. I love spicy food. I would like to try to make this at home but don't know what all the ingredients are and if they are available in Suriname. Thumbs up, Mark. I hope to try these some day.

After fourteen months, we finally know the truth about Mark Weins. Folks from his childhood and from Arizona have given statements and it is now clear as to why his parents moved about so much. Would love to meet your local Vientiane connections, as I am currently working in Laos for a few months (almost finished. They would be great Tour guides. I plan to fly my Thai wife to Vientiane towards the end of my contract, so that we can experience a bit of Laos before I move on to another country for work.

I became interested in Laos after watching it's episode on Geography Now and now I am binge watching Mark Wiens' food trip in Laos. I want to go since it's in Southeast Asia so no visa required for me but the problem is I have a hard time finding good deal on flights
