The personalities behind these 'brews, ' although I haven't tasted them, seems to give you the mental undertone of taste. That look you have when you try a new ale lager or stout. The holding your breath, looking down at your palette as you suck the brew from the tip of your tounge, and then inhale as it rolls around your whole flavor spectrum with the carbonation, followed by the clean bitter or sweet alcohol aftertaste. Honestly, my whole thing with beers is a make out session. Don't get me wrong, I like drinking and chatting with very close friends, but most of all, I enjoy my affair with beer. and the new hot bartender that knows more about beer than you and I ever will. Also, thank got for garlic tater tots and pork bun burgers: P

It's amazing how the brewing industry has largely spent an insane amount of energy and time trying to make every possible permutation of an IPA or Pale Ale, yet continue to ignore the obvious consumer preference toward a big viscous malty RIS. Not that there aren't a lot of breweries that do a RIS, but to find one done really well is hard (hence the existence of the -whale-) yet to find a nicely done IPA or Pale can be done by walking down to one of a dozen local stores. Just blows my mind how they continue to flood the market with the same dumb IPAs.

Glad I caught this. Brings me back to seeing Garrett at Mugs a few times in the mid to late 90's before the old neighborhood blew up. Teddy's as well. Wondering if -Eddie- who is mentioned as the bartender at Teddy's is the same Eddie from Turkey's nest. I'm talking way before Turkey's was known. Used to go there to watch the Mets game on the weekdays and the place was 15 full at most. Neighborhood is unrecognizable now - good times.

fx matt brewing is a great brew haus. Love their work for all of the craft breweries in the north east. They brewed a bunch of different companies beers or at least housed the brew house for them to work on. Portsmouth brewins pumpkin was brewed there. ---Garrett You are the man!

I absolutely adore Brooklyn Brewery and this was a great video in terms of explaining their ethos and origins. Looking forward to seeing more of this series, for sure.
