a bit too unpretentious and honest, a touch of hipster douchbaggery was needed, great person the chef, wish he had brought in some friends other than the 2 people who work with him. The episode could have been better with more focus on the angle of -rags to riches chef story- and if it showed the chef with 2-3 of his struggle-days buddies going to the places they used to go back then.

I wanna know what part of Mexico this guy is from, because he has the stereotypical -Mexican voice. - I never thought I'd see and hear the stereotype with my own eyes LOL-From his appearance, my guess is Oaxaca. Which also happens to be the Mexican state from which most of the immigrants in California come from.

There's one good guy. Nice to see a polite talented chef on this series, man of the people, out visiting his buds and respecting the food rather than the usual dudes all inked up, drunk and loudmouthed and too cool for the hoi polloi that frequent their restaurants.

This reminds me everything I love and hate about San Francisco. The wanton gluttony of hipsters vs. people like Gonzalo, who has built the San Francisco culinary scene from behind the scenes with humility and insight via Mexico.

The Mexican people are one of the hardest working people in the world, they have always had my respect. This man is living proof as are many other millions of Mexican immigrants. Sit down, Donald, and stfu.

I knew he looked familiar. I saw him on Guys Triple D awhile back. His food looked amazing then and still does. I like this episode so far. Not some pretentious hipster douche bags.

Alright, I'll chug it. Takes a sip. -He has a similar personality to mine. He can have fun without getting intoxicated, being obnoxious or swearing excessively.

The guy has knowledge and is riding on it, but he's no wizard. Seems he is selling presentation to a crowed that will eat it up. Literally. Good for him.

So you have a mexican restaurant so what do you do on your chefs night out? You go to two mexican restaurants and eat more mexican food? Ok then.
