The story is beautiful but I hate that munchies or vicenews didn't advertise their family business in order to get support. I have a lot of respect for their sons. They stepped forward & took a hold of the reins in order to take care of the family. I'm very proud of these guys! At such a young age to deal with this! It's amazing! Best wishes to you and your family. At the same time, vice & munchies should start providing supporting links to their stories. If not, you're part of the society that's taking advantage of those who are hurting. If that's the case, people we need to burn theses entities who are taking advantage of our hurt.

We must force the government to quit debasing the currency so that these places have a secure future. We must clamp down on government corruption. Wages have been lagging inflation for decades and the wealth gap has gotten so extreme the middle class is about to collapse. Do I hate the rich? No, I hate corrupt government. It's become a one-party system that cares more about itself than it does about the people it has sworn to represent and protect.

Awesome family and this is the type of place that I would love to give my money to. So sad about the dad. Depression is a son of b but I will never understand how you can do that to your loved ones? I m just glad that they had a great dad for most of their youth and obviously one strong ass momma. The boys were obviously raised correctly.

Please use your story to bring mental health and su cide awareness to all of your community and customers. As someone who's dealt with depression and anxiety and been close to the edge, it's important to let everyone know mental health matters.

This restaurant is amazing. I have eaten there for many years. It is as good as it looks. Ray was a great man and it was a hard loss. But the family endured and continues Ray s legacy. I wish his family continued success and hope someday they can expand to new locations. Well done and I will return soon for that delicious BBQ.

I ve been going to this place for a decade, although not as often as I d like, because it s quite far for me. It is, by some distance, the best barbecue in Los Angeles. Ray s loss was a stunning tragedy, but I don t think any of us realized how capable the next generation would be. Damn, I gotta get back there soon!

Their dad raised two amazing and strong boys. Im 100% positive he is looking down on them smiling and super proud of how they grew up as amazing adults.

My brother died by suicide in August. It sucks so hard but I'm so proud of this family for acknowledging that fact. The more we are open about it, hopefully the more lives we can save. Best wishes to the amazing Ramirez family.
