BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO MEDITATION for a positive & productive day (part 2) Muhammad: Been dealing and with anxiety and tension in the pelvic floor for years. I quit smoking about a year ago, but that didn't help much (apart from the obvious long-term benefits.
Saw part 1 and came straight to part 2, and lemme just say that you're doing an awesome job!
I've tried meditating on multiple occasions, but I could never continue because the gurus would make everything seem overly-complicated. You, on the other hand, made it really simple and I experienced a significant change in the first go. Will definitely continue.

I am starting meditation and suffer from anxiety and ocd. My problem is, when I start focusing on the breath, i immediately start having thoughts. So i label these thoughts over and over (hearing, thinking, etc) before attempting to come back to the breath. My problem is, I have so many thoughts that pop up, that I feel like most of the time I spent trying to meditate is focused on labeling the thoughts rather than the breathing because they pop up so often. Does this get better over time if you meditate everyday?

From what I have learnt from different meditation classes and of course the Bhagawad Gita is as we keep on observing our thoughts and coming back to the awareness of the breath, there will be one fine day where there will be no thoughts to observe and we will be in complete present moment and awareness. Is this correct?

I'm 17 and I never believed this stuff actually helped, but after a week I hope it makes me feel well about myself. I tried episode one meditating before this one, and when it finished my body felt weird. I felt at ease with my body when I stopped like a burden worked its way off myself.

This is an amazing video for a beginner like me. I like the way you label sensations and thoughts. It has helped me greatly. I would love if you did even more on meditation or even yoga. You are great at teaching in this video!

I'm loving these videos. I've tried meditation a few times but was never really given a good means of dealing with distractions until now.

So while I would love to meditate out in the wild, I don't know if I would feel safe knowing some animal can come out of no where. I need my own little paradise in my backyard.
