Food photography for beginners 5 tips Jody: i cook new dishes every day and bake on the weekends and i'm quite proud of them. my kids have encouraged me to start posting the pictures on insta instead of just sending the pics to them. food photography is so fun but i catch myself styling for so long and taking so many pics that the food gets cold before we eat! :) thanks for these great tips! xo

Okay so this will be an odd comment but I wanted to point it out cause I have no clue how these things ended up in the Netherlands: at 6: 08 the wooden structure was used as something in India to sit on instead of sitting on the floor and it's still used today but mostly in Hindu temples and at home in the mini temple like spaces we have (I'm not sure if there are other regions/people from other religions that use them.
Further on, at 6: 26 the round wooden structure is used along with a rolling pin to shape chapattis or naans or similar dishes, instead of rolling them directly on the counter.
This one is just not as important here but at 2: 27 the box structure that was placed on the table is used keep idols of gods by Hindus.
I know this comment is out of nowhere but it's so so interesting that these things ended up in an antique shop like that. They aren't particularly decorative or pretty so yeah.

Thank You for making the information so easy to understand. I have watched so many photography video as a beginner just starting and 9/10 times it is too technical and I get lost. Also my mouth was watering looking at all the beautiful food.
