So quick and luxurious. yeah I said that. Robert: In Japan, a typical breakfast dish is hot steamed rice topped with raw egg. Just as with your dish, the level of mixing and standing determines the level of doneness of the egg. Japanese eggs are much higher quality than in the U. S. and are statistically devoid of Salmonella. Another similar dish is Korean Bibimbap. In the west, some restaurants top the dish with a fried egg but the authentic presentation is with a raw egg at the center that the diner mixes in themselves when eating. You're quite right. The best word to describe the velvety creamy texture is LUXURIOUS. Cheers!

Thank you so much always for teaching us how to make awesome food! :)Just wondering because I've heard rumors like: #1: it wasn't safe to consume raw eggs in the US (unlike in Japan where people rinse eggs & eat them raw)#2: People in the US found raw egg consumption unappealingI could attempt eating eggs raw where I live. Thank you so much for the awesome cooking tutorials: 3 The rice looks scrumptious: )

Just made this and it is delicious! Thankfully I had all the ingredients and sauces at home already. Added some cooked meat, green onions, and yellow onions. I feel kinda hesitant now that I put a raw egg in the dish but I think it's going to be okay.

Add some Furikaki. That will give you what you want. Some seaweed, sesame seeds and seasonings. Comes in different flavors. Awesome!
