I don't know man. Maybe it's a Canadian thing, or a San Diego thing. But in the east coast (new york, new jersey, and Pennsylvania) we call, and the Chinese restaurants we order from, call what you're making Lo Mein. What we call Chow Mein is something completely different. It's a liquidy bean sprout and green onion dish. Almost like a porridge. Strange.

I'm sad. I ask for beef chow mein at my local Shanghai restuarant, it does not look like this. It doesnt have soft noodles at all. They serve the stir fry with hard noodles and white rice. I dont understand why they serve it like that? When I do a google search there is soft noodles. My brain wants to understand.

Noodles need to be washed in cold water otherwise it's soggy and mushy. Dont throw shit together unless you know the components wont separate and rob each ingredients flavor. I can tell you now that gooey noodle starch just cover up everthing. Americans have such low expectations from their food.

I live in Ohio and I made chicken chow mein a few weeks ago. It was alright, but the noodle selection here is awful too. We have some Chinese markets here in Columbus, but didn't find any yellow chow mein egg noodles. I looked online and didn't find much better. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I know you like to mix things up by cooking outdoors on the BBQ or hotplate, but using a wok is a must for a wet dish like Chow Mein. As soon as the sauce hit the hotplate it burnt, and you were just left with a pile of tasteless, overcooked noodles and beef.

is it me or is this video more quiet than the others? I have my sound all the way up, and the video sound all the way up and can barely hear Sam. Usually I have to turn it down to like 50-65 ish because it's too loud

oh and no seasoning on the short rib meat? I know you forget things from time to time: P (the bacon on the western bacon cheeseburger) I know it has the sauce but usually you always hit your beef with the S&P!
