Want to make the best steak quesadilla? This recipe uses leftover mashed potato & smoked gouda! Ninjaslash52: Sam this was a godsend I had a dream last night I was a newbie at a fancy restaurant along with 7 other people to start the training they let us try some food as we were showed the place and what we had to do two of the foods they let us try were a very plain and meh rice dish the OTHER was a quesadilla I have no idea what was in it but it was the best quesadilla I had ever had it was encased (like a calzone) and from the way it looked I think it was fried because it was fully brown and had little notes of texture like toast or something fried with breading then I deduced it was steak cause none of the other meats seemed to fit then the filling I thought what it could be and I had no idea till I saw your video and you say potato and caramelized onionsThanks for the help lolEdit: it didnt have a typical hard shell like most fried things which is why i am confused by it it would make sense to be bread cause it matched the texture of the bite but I strictly recall them saying quesadilla

Pro potato tip: If you use milk/whole milk/cream in your mashed potato, Put the milk/whole milk/cream on your stove in a pan on low heat, put all the potato peel in your milk to infuse, the mash will then have a better potato taste, you can also add any herbs/garlic and spices to infuse in the milk/Cream before adding it to the mash, the longer the better. its amazing. Happy cooking from Norway. Bonus tip: Cut the potatoes in small boat shapes, leave them in running cold water in bowl for 10 ish minutes to wash out starch, mash gets smoother and less glue like

Sam, you do a very nice job on all your videos and I love watching them. But I have one piece of criticism for you. I dont know if Im the only one who thinks this, but you tend to aimlessly talk a lot on the episode and Im not a huge fan of it. I rather off you stick to the cooking or at least talk while youre cooking and not take a break. I usually just skip over these parts and just watch you actually cooking. Hope this helps thanks.

Wait a minute. If it's left over mashed potatoes while you gotta peel em? Those look like virgin potatoes to me. Gonna have ta unsub and take away your manly cooking card. This was supposed to be about the date you had with the ole lady and she couldn't finish her shit, so you ate it.

Nah man blue rare is where you want a quality ribeye steak. The only time I would ever cook one more is if the source of the steak was questionable and you had no other options. I always figured Max was paid in the aromas of the wonderful food.

Sam if I'm using a skillet should I put oil on the steak itself and season, then put it on a bare skillet. (No oil or butter) or add some oil and butter to the skillet and then put in my steak with some seasoning, but not lubricated?

I always have leftover steak. I've usually been toasting bread and just adding thin strips of it like a burger, which is great, but I'm going to make mashed potatoes right now for this. Then again tomorrow when they are leftovers

Sam, your outdoor cooking setup is AWESOME! Can you do a video on what you have, how you set it up, maybe your thoughts on how you decided what you wanted, and maybe some links on the company you used to install.
