My go-to recipe to impress people at a dinner (and also blow their minds) Interesting and I have to try it. My questions are. first, what cut are you using (high loin, belly etc) or does it matter, second, should it be at room temp or just out of the fridge As most do, I really like tuna cooked rare, and I love Fitzpatrick (QB for Jets, Miami, Buffalo, and many others, lol). I mean Captn Crunch, so I am absolutely thinking this recipe has got to be awesome.
Perhaps a third question is what about Albacore tuna Is it bottom of the barrel I dont know a lot about tuna in general, and I dont get to eat it much, but that is just bc my wife will not eat fish, damn it, but I really enjoy it and want to learn more about it. Thanks (I know you wont respond, but maybe someone will.\n

Cap'n Crunch was my go to cereal as a kid. Remember the days when you sent in 3 boxtops and $1. 00 to get the Cap'n's treasure chest and shovel The treasure chest was your bowl and the shovel your spoon and you'd shovel that stuff in to the point of near puking. Ah, the good ol days. I am old.

My immediate thought when I began watching this video was oh, shit. Sam’s family is going to put him in a home now.
Then I watched, and to my surprise I realized that I NEED to make this. You’re a genius, Sam. I’m going to use Cap’n Crunch with Crunch berries!

I prefer using a glass cup on a plate sort of like a mortar and pestle to grind crackers when I make cheesecake. I can really get the right consistency and I can easy do more crackers if I need to make more. Very interesting combination thought looks great!

Here's me, apparently sheltered or something, because initially, I thought Sammo was talking about peanut butter flavored Cap'n Crunch and I had a real ick moment. I guess I thought there was no plain CC, just PB, derp! Congrats to Sammo and The Lads!

looks like it could use some black sesame seeds as well but really interesting dish and I might need to try this: )
edit: guess I should've waited to comment until you said it would get topped with furakake (not sure I spelled that right.

They don't farm BFT, they catch small ones and raise them in Pens so they don't count towards the wild BFT quota's. It's a scam to get around the reg's. They don't farm anything, it's wild caught small fish
Get a clue

Cap’n Crunch was my fave as a kid! (69 this year. And how it stuck to your teeth so you spent most of the morning in class trying to get it off! A breakfast food that lasts for hours!

I haven't had that cereal in decades, but willing to buy a box just so I can try this recipe. It's always the weirdest ingredient(s) that get the puzzled looks and highest praise

Never cooked tuna before, but I’m going to have to give this a try, looks too easy and delicious not too. Also, have you guys ever done a flash fried sushi roll before

Started following you in 2020 during the shit show. I love to cook and you make it fun Cap'n! Congrats on the inaugural Menu Masters Digital Innovation award.

This seems wrong but at the same time looks amazing. And I already love seared tuna I just usually use sesame seeds may have to actually give this a try though.

I love when a simple recipe is all it takes to make something incredible. Thank you for showing how easy this can be. I can't wait to try it with Capt. Crunch.

I'm here for you! There I said it. Thanks now I'm really hungry.
And I do have Cap'n Crunch in the pantry.

I'm getting more into fish after shying away from it for most of my life.
