Technically, the muffin sandwich is a muffin as much as its competitors. One muffin had blueberries on top, another had blueberries inside, but nobody questioned whether they're still muffins for heaving extra stuff added. If the top bun was stacked below the bottom bun, it would be a muffin with bacon/egg/cheese on top instead of blueberries/popcorn/caramel. Besides, lots of people turn a muffin into a sandwich by cutting the bottom off and placing it on top to sandwich any toppings inside.

why don't they cook on the other side of the stove? they know people need to be in and out of the over and stove, if one man was on one side and the other on the other, they could duel wield the same stove. they'd just be on the outside of the weird kitchen set.

I love a good bloob, and a barely toasted English muffin with butter melting into the nooks and crannies, but Barry's wins for me. As Ben said, best flavor, and as much as I want to love panettone, it needs the muffiny twist to it.

Great recipes. My only comment is as a chef I have never seen butterscotch made like that or with white sugar. I've always used brown sugar to give it a molasses flavour.
