Its always best to use freshly squeeze lime juice and to squeeze and strain it into a bottle so you can measure it more accurately, its okay to muddle a raspberry if you want but you can use raspberry syrup its like simple syrup with a 1 to 1 ratio of sugar to water and boil a cup of raspberries and then you have raspberry syrup and its so much better to use homemade simple syrup since it mixes better than granulated sugar in cold beverages. And muddling mint you have to gently muddle the mint not pulverize it like I said over muddling releases the bitter tannins of the mint. And it has to be shaken to be well incorporated with the ingredients and then strain it into a Collins glass with ice and top it with plain soda water.

So it was clear these were picked just as recipes that sound good with no attempt to think about the actual season. im not buying raspberries or blackberries in the middle of winter.
