Mexican Carnitas As Made By Claudette Zepeda-Wilkins Oscar Alberto Puentes Ramos: I have been in Michoacn and I have seen all the process of making carnitas and Im sure thats not the recipe. In Michoacn they put orange juice (a lot) and orange soda but not cola neither milk. Just as an advice to staff: Try to do the closest as the original recipe, I understand that you want to innovate but most of the times you people dont get it right, especially in latin american food and in this case mexican food. And this is an advice from a Mexican that has been traveling and visiting more than half of the country and try out every typical recipe in each state.

There are so many different recipes for Carnitas that have come from different parts of Mexico. Most families adapt the recipe to their liking making it their own. So why all the hate on here about it not being traditional or not being the correct way to make it? I suppose everyone whos spewed some hate on here, knows the correct way to make it. and I can almost guarantee you, none of their recipes would be the same

My favorite taco next to cabeza, cow cheek. I also add sour cream and that green cilantro sauce Im addicted to. No hot sauce Also to people turned off by oj, coke and lard, shame I also assumed I was not missing out but after 30 years I realize I was missing out on a lot Mexican food has soo many perfect gem recipes. Stewed pork then reduce to fry, genius.

Im mexican too currently living in Sweden where there is definitely 0% authentic Mexican food. I wish the world knew more about how rich Mexican cousine is. Adding jalapeos to your food doesnt make it mexican. We dont eat pork, I know Im Mexican and pork is not our first choice of meat. Have you ever tried making carnitas with lamb? Is that even possible?

A freaking coca cola. I can understand a copper pot is expensive. Also the amount of lard is over the top. The carnitas ive seen you can see the bottom of the huge pot, so they dont use coca cola. I would not put guacamole with carnitas, they dont mix well. You are suppoused to chop it at the end to make it look like strings.

Being a female chef is hard. Is this a joke or something? Is it April Fools day already? Ive met more professional women chefs then I have men chefs in the last 15 years. Maybe try leaving your little bubble you live in and come back to reality. Thats the most absurd comment Ive heard on a Tasty video in awhile.

There is so much hate coming at her. As a Mexican-America chef at a restaurant, I really appreciated the way she spoke about food and our culture. I get it, its not traditional. However, she took her spin on it and when you think about how shes pairing the ingredients, its actually a flavorful combination

Why is there so much hate Stop being clowns I dont see any videos of you guys making carnitas. Damn everyone is different who are yall to judge without even tasting though? For real get yourself checked out I would try this, its different never seen it made like this. Ima just need yellow corn tortillas.
