My guess, Westerners will for the love of god, westernize every goddamn thing they see. Youve gone and made this tradition into something simple and yeah people are gonna say that it still is within the definition of a dumpling. But sriracha sauce, gelatin, apple pastry, and somehow this cornbread stuff. You should put easy in the title. Isnt that how you attract people?

Dear tasty, I love your videos but slow the hell down whats the Point of making all these gorgeous and informational videos when it feels like theyre being sped up at X2? if someone is that restless and with such a short attention span Im sure they can hit the speed up button while the rest of us can enjoy the deliciousness that is tasty.

My nan would make chili then she would put it in a baking dish, then make cornbread batter and pour it over the top and sprinkle a little cheese on top and bake it and it came out like chili cornbread. She learned it from a friend who was from Kansas City, I think its a Midwestern thing. Wherever its from, its delicious.

Guys, please understand that dumplings dont only have to have something inside of it for it to be a dumpling Dumplings can also just be the dough inside cooked in a soup or casserole. What they did with that cornbread dish can be classified as a dumpling dish

As a chinese, we usually use pork bones and skin (chicken bones and gelatin if you cannot eat pork. The skin has it own natural gelatin which works also. Also we use pork lard for tangyuan as we dont have such a thing called butter in the older days

Theres a difference between dumpling, which is a super broad term, and Asian dumplings, which are a more specific category. Asian countries never had and never will have a monopoly over the word dumpling. Yall Asians need to get over yourself.

Is there a version of the soup dumpling recipe thats converted into US/standard measurements? Ive been wanting to try to make soup dumplings, but every recipe seems sooo complicated and daunting. Yet, this one seems doable for me.

For the sweet sesame dumplings, you shouldnt boil the dumplings in the sugar syrup/ soup Itll make the water murky Boil the dumplings till they float in a pot of water. Drain and serve it with the syrup
