We have an air fryer at home and it actually works way better for french fries and stuff than the oven. Our Oven seems to make the fries soggy but when we use the air fryer they come out crispy and dry which is nice. The problem Alix ran into with her chicken tenders is that the element is right in the top of the oven and I'm pretty sure that baking rack she put in was placed upside down (she used the long handles as legs for the rack) so the one batch was way too close to the heating element and kinda shadowed the lower batch from the heat

The only issue I have with this conclusion is that the foods tried out don't really show the benefits of an airfryer - namely the faster cooking times compared to an oven. Something like frozen chicken tenders (which are typically already fried) come out as good as when they are deep fried with no clean up required and in about a third the time a oven requires. Similarly many vegetables if sprayed with a dusting of oil come out amazing and can be done far faster than with an oven.

It kinda bothers me that she said she wanted to be Vegan but cant go for a chicken substitute. Which is incredibly easy especially then youre doing it yourself and it leaves a good example. Im not vegan but I feel like we should all be conscious of our influence

Is this recent? Alix actually looks better and healthier in this one than the few previous videos she's in where she looked too skinny and tired. Im glad she's doing better

I think an air fryer and hot plate is good for someone without an oven/stove but if you have those then you dont need or should get one. Just not worth it.

I would love an air fryer, however that machine takes up a large footprint on my tiny counter. Is it worth losing a precious square foot of prep space?
