MSG gets a bad rap but there's nothing wrong with it. Actually is not uncommon to be allergic to it. I am, and even low amounts give me headaches, and the more MSG, the more severe it is, with accompanied nausea. This allergy runs in my family, and I wish more people would come up with some alternatives for MSG in recipes like these. I notice it does make a difference in flavor when it is omitted, so I would like another way to achieve that umami flavor.

msg is bad because it make bad food you wouldnt normally eat good, therfore you eat it. i dont care about the chemical composition i care about the mental health and stability of the people that live around me. its bad for REAL reasons.

We should each get one free pass a year to be able to reach through the screen and try something. Today would have been one of my free pass days.
