Hi, in this video I show you how to make a haunted fairy house lamp using some plastic bottles, tin foil, paper clay and paint. This is a great Halloween project to make with your children. They can learn about recycling in a fun and creative way. I first cut the plastic bottles and glue the pieces together in a cricked shape. I made the roofs out of tin foil and also glued some curved wires for the branches and roots. I used wire from a hanger for those. I then covered some of the wires with tin foil to give them thickness. I used tin foil for the windows and chimney too. I also made a pumpkin out of the bottom of the small plastic bottle. When the basic shape is finished I start covering it with paper clay. I used red paper clay this time because I wanted a darker color for the house and a red base helps more than a white base (I used Das modelling material -. I made some bark textures here and there, wooden door and windows. I also made some roof tiles. I also carved a nice little smiley face in the pumpkin. Painting it was easier than other times. I just darken the whole house and add brighter colors as a patina for the walls, and some silver acrylic for the metal chimney and roofs. In the end you can seal the paint using some matte spray varnish. I placed some battery LED lights under the house. I recommend you use soft lights that will gently illuminate your windows so it looks like a real house. DON'T USE HOT LIGHTS!

Hi! Sorry for my bad and poor English. (I'm from Italy and my English is school English. I have a question for you: how many liters of coke there are in the two bottles? We have a lot of different bottles in the markets and I do not know which I have to choise. Thank you. Your works are amazing!

Hi creative mom, can you tell me your secret what you do against shrinking plastic? The plastic of the bottles shrinks the second I touch it with the hot glue. I don't see that in your videos. Is there a trick?

Hi there! I use polymer clay and bake them so they harden. Does paper clay harden on its own? I'm unfamiliar with paper clay. Would love to hear back from you. Thanks! :)
