I show you how I made a cute little fairy house using matchsticks. This is a cheap material, easy to find and, if you have patience, it can become a little piece of art. All you need is some super glue or wood glue and of course matches. I started by drawing the patterns of the house, first the front wall with the door and the side walls. I made some windows in the side walls. I glued the matches on the pieces of paper, fallowing the patterns. After the glue was dry I sanded the edges of the walls and glued them together. Using the contour of the walls I was able to draw the pattern for the floor. I glued the matches to the pattern the same way I did for the walls and attached the walls to the floor using super glue. I added the front wall and the door and made a little tower using a plastic cap for its round shape. Time to make the roofs. I glued the corners of the roofs in place to have a solid frame and then glued the matchsticks horizontally on this frame. I added a chimney, stairs and railing. At the bottom I glued an LED tealight and covered it all around with matches. It looks awesome with light inside. I used about 200 matchsticks for this project and took me about a week to finish. Although it's a small scale project it needs a lot of patience. Let me know if you enjoyed this matchsticks project and would like to see some more in the future

Beautiful! You make such unique organic shapes! I'm trying to make my own fairy house, and I'm finding out just how difficult it is to make everything fit together so perfectly. Simply amazing!

Very original, love it. And the way you glued the pieces right to the paper thwn cut out/used- that's genius! I wonder if that's super glue, kinda looks like it.

When I do this I'm going to line the inside of the house with parchment paper so you won't see the candle through the window. Just the light will show.
