Do You Need Art School to Create Art? SchaeferArt pavithra's: Sir
I have a question I hope you reply or anyone who can answer it
I can draw something by seeing its tutorials or thier drawn form but when ever I try to draw something of my imagination it doesn't work out too well for me.
By referring photos sometimes it turns out great sometimes I just fail does it discribe I can't draw.
Can you please tell what should I do!
( I am 15 years old if you want to know) Should I just stop wasting my time on drawing because I can't create my own drawings only I copy others.
Thank you in advance for whoever answered the question.

Beautiful drawing! I am 38 and I would say probably since i got out of high school i had quit drawing or doing anything like this and for close to 20 years and i don't know why. The past year I have picked it up again and learning many things just off of you tube that i didn't realize how to do. Enjoyed your video and i will keep watching more! I can for surely draw but I am trying to learn all the techniques for more realistic drawings! Thank you!

I've said it once and I'll say it again, very good improvements with every work completed buddy. This is how you get better and better, by simply keeping at it. Of course someone teaching you helps a lot for picking things up quicker, but nothing beats just going for it and putting in the hours. So with that becoming better and more happy with the results is a foregone conclusion.

Wow! This drawing is beautiful! I have a question: I want to paint, so do I need to know how to draw before starting painting? Do I need more like the basics, like how to sketch, shading, proportions etc? A mixture? What your thoughts about that? Thanks in advance if you answer!

I-ve learned more about drawing from you than from professors. I learned the envelope technique from you which I-ve practiced for the last two years. The art school I went to considers drawing old fashioned. It-s all about installations these days.

I've learned more from reading art books and watching artists, like yourself, and how they work and apply their techniques, than any of the art classes taken way back in high school.

Just want you to know that you inspire me and I enjoy your tutorials. I'm a busy mom but I try to find time to draw or even scribble. ---
