First off thanks for doing these videos! Secondly I was wondering if you could recommend a good source of info on common pests found in Northern California? I have these little brown winged bugs in my soil that I can't kill with diatomaceous earth, permethrin spray, or spectricide. Resilient little beasts I tell ya!

I know this is almost a year ago, however I'm having a devil of a time finding ancho poblano seeds. Of you decide to sell them, plz let me know. I grow my own jalapeno, cayenne as I prefer to dehydrate and grind my own powders for my chili / Mexican inspired foods. tia

Why grow such a hot spicy pepper if you do not ordinarily enjoy that? I think it is better to go much milder and really use the produce up. Just my opinion. I think you do very well and are an excellent gardener/urban farmer.

when you have more food than you know what to do with, look into any food justice organizing going on in your area! then maybe some epic produce could go to those most vulnerable and/or living in a food desert in your city

Great video. This is my first year gardening and my biggest question is when to harvest. How to know when beets, carrots, potatoes, etc. are ready to pick. When is squash and zucchini ripe? I have so much to learn.

Good work, mate. I'm jealous of your ginger. I've tried so many times with ginger, but it has never worked for me. But then, I live in the UK.
By the way, younger loofah fruit are delicious as a vegetable.

My grandma used to make watermelon soybean paste during mid summer. And when I was little, we used to buy 10-15 those big watermelons and store in somewhere cool. 4 watermelon is not a issue.

I know I'm 4 months late commenting but if you have a dehydrator, dehydrated watermelon is AMAZING! Takes forever to dry (appx 26 hours) but totally worth it!
