Amaranth microgreens are both uncommon and beautiful, with a bright red translucent color that lights up a plate. They're also quite easy to grow, so long as you follow these simple instructions!

Dang, I need to get back into sprouting. This isn't my first video seeing amaranth, but tonight is the very first time I've ever seen anything with pink sprouts (saw beet sprouts first, then a video on amaranth. I simply _can't wait_ to buy and sprout amaranth and put it with my spring mix I buy in the tubs at the store all the time, and my 2 best friends will have a _field day_ when I start doing this and they're here hanging out with me! : )

About how many days does it take your Amaranth to germinate? I'm growing some! You don't mention the specific time span in the video, you say only a few days: 2: 31. Mine's been seeded and covered for about 18 hours and I see nothing happening yet. Thanks for this video!

Amaranth is so easy to grow and it grows so fast. I grow it using half composted tree leaves or grass clippings covered by crushed straws. It normally will germinate within 3 to 4 days in June/July outdoor. There is no need to grow it as a microgreen.

Question, do you need to have a license, permit or anything of that nature to grow and sell microgreens, or can you simply just grow and sell microgreens? I live in Los Angeles California and I would love to get into this.
Thanks

LOVED the timelapse, that was neat to watch! Amaranth can be tough for beginners, Ive done my trial and error already lol but just wanted to point out that it should be watered from the bottom to prevent damping off: )excellent video!

Hi! I love your videos! They are interesting, easy to follow, inspiring an helpful! I am interested in purchasing dragon fruit cuttings. can you direct me in the right direction? I live in South Texas.

i've been reading that you shouldnt eat amaranth greens without cooking. I dont want to cook them tho and wondering about your experience with eating them raw, assuming you do that is?
reply

Hi. After cut. Amaranth will regrow again?
And if I let it grow older. Will the stem can grow big amaranth? I wonder that microgreens seeds can grow same as normal seeds?

reply

Are these the same as the 'regular' amaranth, except that they are here close with no spacing? I am growing regular ones and wonder what is the difference. Thank you

You could put a piece of newspaper underneath the pot when spreading the seeds and pour any that fall back on when you finish and you won't have to lose any seeds: )

Yes! Love this video, (all your videos really) and the easy, concise instructions. One question, once they've been harvested they do not grow back. or do they?
reply

Mine haven't germinated its been 2-3 weeks. And now I see what I've done wrong. I didn't cover them! OK lesson learned I'm heading to the garden right now

Love the time lapse! Never tried amaranthe, what does it taste like? What does it look like fully grown? How much does it sell for on average per tray?
reply

I wish you had shown us the aluminum cover. Not all of us can afford your equipment. You also didnt show us what to do with the plants after harvest!

Thanks for the really great video! Quick question, how often do you water them? I've heard varying reports, and I'm curious about the method you use
