Buy the raised beds I have in my garden: Spring is coming! And that means it's time to either replant or prepare your raised beds for the coming season Amanda: Hi. We just moved to a new home, and there are 2 raised beds in the backyard that I'm hoping to start my first garden with. Since the garden beds are already filled with other plants from previous owners (mostly dead things and weeds, will I need to completely empty them out first and then start over?

Thank you for your videos! Is there ever a time when the soil in a raised bed might be too compacted with roots and inhibit root growth of new young plants? I'm about to start my second season in my raised bed so it's not very old. I'm not sure if I need to break the soil up or not
