gardenanswer, if it is possible can you please post a picture of before (initial) and after (a year or two later) for the terrariums. Ive never done something like this and was wondering how long they last and how to care for them other than watering them.

I know this is an old video hopefully you will see this question i am building my first terrarium with a frosted vern. I just love this little plant and want to make sure I do right by it do you have any tips for for that plant which btw I found out its not a fern its a moss!

Great information especially since it is very dry here where we live as well, near the Mohave Desert. humidity as low as 6%. We have a large bottle that will be perfect for a terrarium.

I recently potted up a maiden fern but I have noticed that there seems to be some sort of fungus growing on top. I only used potting mix, is this a problem? Should I repot? Thank you.

What do you do if the plants grow too big? With regular plants in pots you move it to a bigger pot. Is it the same with terrariums? Or do you cut the plants down? Thanks for sharing!

If I were using beach sand just for aesthetic purposes, which layer should I do that as? The bottom? The middle? Above the rocks? Beneath the rocks?
