Setting up Raised Beds Garden Answer Gypsy: Remember that you will have to sink the beds down into the base rock, then level them, otherwise they will leak water into the pathways, basically draining the water away from your plants, they hold moisture better when sunk a couple inches, I just use a hand maddox and claw away what they are sitting on, just a couple inches wide, all around. You will probably want to add another level of boards so plants can get nice and lush, just prune, prune, prune, plants love that! Also, cats like to use pea gravel to do their business! Nice plan, you guys have a beautiful property there. Stay Free People!

I know weeds are a concern for everyone. Here is a quick, easy, cheep and environmentally safe weed killer. In the large spray container mix regular vinegar 3 liters + a pound of epson salt + few tablespoons of down dish detergent. Shake well and go to town on the weeds. They will be dead in 24 hours

Curious about the base you're using before adding the raised bed boxes. Is that the color of the soil there or is it a layer of sand or something for better drainage? I've already watched ahead and see that you actually used wider/taller boards over these, which is what I plan on doing.

What was the process you guys went through to get the whole area cleared & prepped for your vegetable garden (after all the big stuff was removed?
Love your videos, and this one got me super excited to see posted, because I'm anxious to get started on our raised bed garden!

Love the design and I can't wait to see how it looks when it is finished! Such great inspiration! I have a very old section of my garden with old landscape timbers which are decomposing and I need to decide if I get new timbers or switch to something like cedar. It is beautiful!

I'm working backwards on your videos. Started watching late in 2021. Interesting to see the before and how far you've come. I've lived in my home 28 years and don't have near the completed garden as you. So thankful for your inspiration, I keep motivated as I keep watching.

Those raised beds are so simple to put together. I may have to order these for next spring. I tried planting right in the ground and the gophers went to town and ruined the design and spacing I was going with. Hopefully I'll have better luck with raised beds.

Thank you Laura, really enjoyed seeing you finally get your beds set up. You have been waiting a long time so it's nice for you to tick that job off your list. All your projects are relatable to us that may have smaller gardens but big dreams!

Just curious: why are those raised beds looking different from your recent videos? The recent ones you show don't have the corner brackets and the board ends are 45 degree angled? Just wondering if they are the same in this video you've show.
