David Austin Jubilee Celebration Rose
video description
Now question # 2, what is dead heading? How do you do it, when do you do it, how often do you do it?
# 3, when do you prune a rose bush? I'm guessing there's got to be a ton of video's on how to do such a job. Right? I'm just not sure they'll say Denise, you idiot, you prune you're rose bush in December LOL or if they will just kind of show you how, and then again, maybe not?
#4 you was talking about the crown. Is that the part of the rose that's just above the dirt level? If not can someone explain where it's at? I'm asking all of this because I just bought 3 new rose bushes, and since my first one made it somehow or the other, like you said you want to give it the best chance to live, thrive, be happy in it's new home. Etc.
#5, you was talking about zone's I'm not very sure what my time zone has to do with roses, but I'm in the central time zone, I'm in Tennessee. North of Chattanooga which is on what we call fast time here in the South, so can anyone tell me what my time zone has to do with my roses? they can't tell time, right?
I will be Thankful to anyone who can answer any or all of my silly question's I just don't wish to waste the money I've already spent on these Rose bushes, so Thanks to anyone and everyone who can help me.
Denise

Im giving up on DA roses in zone 9. Its just too hot here in California Central Valley. Im curious to see an update since your zone also gets days 105F and over. I have 8 of them and this year the only ones that bloomed were the potted ones and only once weather started cooling down. In fact my husband just pruned them and there was still buds now in middle of January. On the other hand, I bought some diseased Queen Elizabeth which I cured. and those bloomed like crazy until the gophers ate the roots. Those handled full sun extremely well. I think I will invest in cheapos from now on.

Those David Austin Roses will be so pretty next year. I live in Illinois and we had the infestation of Japanese Beetles, which ate everything in sight. I thought that I was finished with roses, but your video has made me rethink that decision. I will just have to be more diligent with the pest control. I do like to use cocoa bark around my roses for two reasons. First, it smells amazing and second, it's a natural insect repellent. Lastly, you look beautiful, pregnancy agrees with you.

Sorry dear real roses smell different. You probably don't know that! Rose should not smell fruity, their scent is rose scent, one thing is correct English roses are just beautiful, you can see them in the 28th century paintings. is nothing new. he is not the inventor of English roses. I grew up with English roses and they smell like real roses! You new generation know too much about ancient things, but I admire you for your love for flowers.

I have a David Austin - The poets wife, it is a beautiful rose but mine are so heavy the stem does not support the rose and all it does is lay on the ground. I planted it last spring I thought it would be better this year. Unfortunately all the roses are laying on the ground still I just don't know what to do, has anyone had this problem.

Hi Laura, I dont know how far back in the comment section from old videos but I tried to plant roses for the first time this past week. And the roses have already died. It says they need full sun. But I dont know what happened I did give them some miracle grow the other day. Any idea why they already died?

Awesome information! I've always been afraid to plant roses because they seem so complicated to deal with; however, you've shown just how easy it is with the right type of rose. Now, I am looking forward to having roses in my garden knowing I can totally do this! Thanks!

Love all those Espoma fertilizers. Used Holly Tone for the first time this year and the transformation in the acid loving plants was tremendous. So I bought Plant Tone and Tomato Tone. Going to buy the Bio Tone next Spring. Love your videos! Enjoy your roses!
