Vertical Edible Garden Garden Answer Nancy: Thanks for great videos and encouragement to get started gardening again. With help of 14 yro grandson and husband we got two raised beds made. Well half filled. ran out of energy and money. But they are planted, also deck has several planters. Along veggies, herbs. we've got geraniums and and dusty miller's around tree base close to the garden. It makes me smle and makes want to work in my garden. My blackberry bush I let branch out too much last two 2 yrs. this year I pruned it way back, doing much better. Thanks for all your help, Gramma

That type of curry plant is an inedible decorative; trust me, I have one that is 3 years old and I've learned that hard way. Even if you can't eat it, it does smell light straight-up curry, so don't let it fool you. They do get big, so you may need to move it before the year is out. If you want something close to edible curry flavor without having to use a spice mix, you would need to get a 'Curry Leaf' plant.

Use your curry plant in soups & stews dried or fresh it's also often used when making perfume & essential oils. The taste of it get milder when it's heated so you are not going to flavor a whole stew with it, then you need a different plant with curry leaves it has a bit stronger taste or just mix the different spices or use a readymade curry mix.

These looks so pretty! Love the rusted look! I have a few questiosn. with them hanging on a wall to your shed would the drainage water damage your siding or cause mold/mildew? And would the dirt eventuelly leak out on to the top of the plant below the holes? I love your videos and i learn so much, thanks!

I love these planters. I actually wouldn't mind something like that for my inside plants. I don't think it would work out with these particular planters, due to the drainage holes on the bottom which would leak out water all over, but definitely something like them for the inside.

Curry plant is edible. I eat it in salads. It is slightly bitter and i only use small amounts. It doesn't cook well. The flavour molecules are destroyed with heat so it is not the source of curry flavouring (that's herb blends which can include curry leaf tree.

PLEASE show us how you set up your drip system. I have tried this type of gardening for over 5 years but could never keep it properly watered and would love to set one up on a drip system.

Can you discuss how you keep up with your planting/watering/fertilizing schedule? Do you have a written planner or a digital calendar? I don't think I would ever be able to remember it all.
