Planting a Hedge of Autumn Frost Hostas! Garden Answer Driftless: I am new to your fun site. I was looking to see which plants would work in my climate (Southern Minnesota. So my comment would be, could you add your region to your ABOUT page so we could estimate that? It looks like you are somewhere where it gets cool and wet. You probably talked about it in some videos but would like to experiment with boxes without needing to look at all videos immediately. Thank for some great stuff. Harvey

Laura: Silly question here, but did you tap your drip tubing into your regular sprinkler head? Is this how you normally tap in? I guess I just assumed you had drip tubes/soakers running everywhere, plus sprinkler heads. And what would the benefit be, versus overhead sprinkler spray? I'm all for it, just need to make sure I am understanding it correctly. Thank you!

Thanks to you and your awesome teaching my garden has been freaking amazing! Never have I ever been able to keep gardens looking good! So easy to understand when you teach so well! I even figured out something! Pots are for annuals. beds are for perennials! I have placed huge pots out among the gardens beds for this purpose!

When I was a little kid I would use the leaves of hostas to make fake tacos. Of course back then I didn't even know the name of them, I just knew them as the plants I used to make fake tacos. Lol. But now here I am as a young adult watching a video on using them in the garden. Oh, how times have changed

Didn't watch this video this morning because I'm not a fan of hostas because of the Slugs and snails but listen this afternoon and you said they don't like them as much as other varieties and now I'm going to look for this variety of hostas like I said you're always cost me money but I love it thanks Laura

I am loving these frequent short videos. I honestly thought you would not upload much this spring, but you guys are pumping them out like mad! It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated! I look forward to longer flowerbed transformation videos come summer. Also, I love Laura's vlogs so much.

The answer to hosta is always yes. I happen to like their blooms. I noticed in some of your other new videos that you are planting a lot of trees, so you will have many more opportunities for hostas! Yay. They also look beautiful with annual impatiens planted around them.

Working at Lockwood's Garden Center this summer & looking forward to selling lots of these gorgeous hostas. Hummingbirds have been coming to the hosta flowers at my house so I don't pick them off until they start to fade.

What do you use for mulch? I seem to have had issues of weeds coming from poor mulch products. Also, I noticed you get pine needles in your mulch. How do you clean/refresh the beds in the spring, do you remulch every year?
