Poor Benjamin, sounds like he woke up from a bad dream. His excitement over the garden is so adorable. When he came over to see you, he smiled. and just for a second, I saw how much he looks like your mom. Never noticed it before. She's going to love your sweet gift of ferns. I have a huge weakness for ferns and ivy. Anytime I give one as a gift it feels like a sacrifice. I want them allllll!
The combination you planted looks like vintage Laura to me. Aaron certainly approved. Looking forward to seeing what else you've got planned. Lisa

15. 07 The very delicate ferns (not the ones with the wide leaves) we have then in! y village, South Greece and they grow next to strams where the water trabels to get to the olive trees. Olive trees need masses of water in the long hot summer.
14. 09 If you ever came to Corfu (North Greece) in the spring and went past olive groves on slopes, you won't believe your eyes. Carpets of ferns, quite high I would say, cover the ground under the olive trees.

Benjamin must be heading into that phase where he can't quite discern dreams from real time. My son and grandson both used to wake up angry once in awhile because they couldn't find their airplane or motorcycle or zebra they'd been riding-- talking full size, not toy articles. Couldn't be convinced that it hadn't been real. This is the toddler years going into training pants. Pretty normal.

Laura, can you PLEASE do a more in depth video or segment on peony's? They are my absolute favorite and I planted a bulb 2 years ago so I got a couple blooms this, which was really exciting. I want to know how I can get more blooms out of my bush. There were so many buds to begin with and only 2 flowered out. Please help! Thank you so much!

I looked for some of these at your parents Garden Center this weekend! We took a road trip from Salt Lake City, UT just to go to Andrews Seed to get a tree rose for my Mom!
Can I just say, the staff & customer service was just amazing! I met your sweet Mom! Checked off my bucket list!
They said I had just missed you that morning! Thanks for teaching me so much over the years!

I wasn't clear about Biotone, that Laura uses. The Biotone starter is a root stimulator, not a fertilizer. Also your dog will try to eat it if you don't watch. My friend's dog ate some, and got sick. My dog dug plants up to get at the Biotone. Not so good. But Biotone does put out a fertilizer. I will not buy that because I am afraid my dog will go after that also.

Love your reels. but went to the garden store today to consider my flower boxes. MY GOD! The cost of annuals ty his year is out of sight! May break for a few perrineals.
because they will last for years. But I just can't afford it this year. Will be living vicariously through your utube this year

I have gardened all of my life, now 70, and I still learn so much from you. I love watching how hard you work and how much you get done; it motivates me. Could you please tell me how much help you have on your gardens? Your scale is so much larger than mine, but it is something to aim for!
