Laura, entertaining and inspiring as always. I was trying to count the plants as you described them. I figure there were at least 13. Multiply that by 2 urns thats about 26 plants. I must admit I spend a fair amount of money on my gardening habit. Around here in NY, the average price of a 4 1/2 pot is now up to $4. 50. One local place had the Proven Winners for 4. 99 a small can & the selections were not good and they did not have enough of one type to work with.

Hi from Oz,
I as well would like to thank you for your amazing show. As many viewers I grab my morning coffee and wake while watching Garden Answer. It makes such a lovely slow embrace to the morning instead of first hitting the depressing morning news. As you speak I am seeing visions of my our garden.

Laura those containers are so gorgeous. As a lover of the coleus family I'm excited to see that new one grow. I hate it when they get so huge and beautiful only to have them die in winter, do you try to winter yours over and can you short of having a green house? So excited to see the Hartley update!

I had a new bed of beautiful pansies. I have tiny grasshopper like bugs who have destroyed these flower beds. I'm thinking that I should replant with diaphanous. What would you you suggest? I've been trying to control with insecticides allowed here with very minimal success. Thanks in advance!

I'm just so impressed that you are able to stuff so many plants into one pot! Occasionally I try to WWLD? and I'll try to stuff a few extras in my pot. I usually end up grumbling as I break stems. Can't wait to see how these pots grow!

Not to be THAT PERSON, but could PW have not picked a better name instead of El Brighto? Just reminds me of when ignorant people think adding an -o to the end of English word makes it Spanish. El Brillo would have been a nice name too.

Those containers will be amazing! But devil vinca! I've got that growing invasively around my backyard fencing and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I try to pull it, but it's literally everywhere. :( any ideas?
