Colorblends is just THE BEST! I do the same as you - during the Spring when my bulbs are showing me their beauty I put in my order for the following year. I don't have quite as much landscape as you, but I still manage to cram a couple thousand bulbs into my tiny front yard and have become the crazy bulb lady in the neighborhood. I'm trying out some new varieties that are supposed to naturalize so we'll see what happens. Isn't that the beauty and wonder of gardening? :)

Laura - quick question. I am in Alaska Zone 4. 5 and Eden Brother just shipped my fall bulbs The problem is that there is a foot of snow on the ground and it's 8 degrees. I figure I can pot up most of it and keep it in the garage until spring but what about my lily tubers coming? Should I take a pick axe to an empty spot or can I just grown them in my grow room over winter? Conversely can I just put it all in the fridge over winter?

I love tulips. We moved few months ago I our (maybe) forever home in Massachusetts. The house needs a lot of improvements on the inside but we had the most wonderful surprise in the backyard.
The previous owners planted a lot of perennials including a lot of tulips. Came Spring we saw flowers popping everywhere: absolutely delightful!
Can wait to be next Spring to enjoy my backyard again

I have my first garden this year (Zone 7b in Germany)
I planted 320 tulips and 50 alliums around two Strong Anabelle hydrangeas. Should I dig these up next year? If so, can I use the same ones again or do I have to buy new bulbs?
I also want to say thank you. Since we planned our house, I've been watching your videos very intensively to learn as much as possible for my own garden.

Hi Laura from Canada! We bought our first home three years ago and that is when I discovered my love of gardening. You have been such an inspiration to me and I thank you for sharing your love of gardening with me. I was wondering if it might be possible to when you are giving the temperature required for plantings if you might be able to also provide the Celsius temperature on the screen?

I did lasagna planting in pots for last year & hoping they come back next year. They were amazing and lasted for months with each bulb kicking in at a time. This year I will probably plant them out when in flower as I will do new for the following year. At this moment as it is so mild in the UK. We have had crocus finish already and in the ground & pots, other bulbs progressing well.

Brilliant idea! Last year moving my 2 big front porch pots was definitely a pain. I never would have thought if this! Plus now I can plant tulips and keep the critters out easier. Question-is there a certain time in the spring to uncover these and put outside? Such as when the night time temperatures reach a certain point? Great video

I live in a zone 6 also and Im confused to why youre leaving the pots outside right now cause our temps are below freezing most nights now arent the bulbs supposed to not go below 35 degrees? Why wouldnt you just stick them in the Hartley now? Ill be planting bulbs myself soon so I just wanted some more clarification, thanks
